Went here for a night out with my other half, fantastic quaint pub set in the Norfolk country side. Excellent rustic menu, boar venison etc went for a sirloin in the end superbly cooked and served with great chips mushrooms onion rings toms peas she had belly of pork (really nice, be rude not to try it) and an apple...

We stayed here for a friend's birthday. The pub is beautifully decorated and really atmospheric. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Despite being above the pub, the rooms were quiet. There was a good choice for breakfast and the staff were friendly.

We travelled to Norfolk to visit friends and stayed at the Ugly Bug Inn (now the Norfolk Lurcher). It happened to be an event of Oktoberfest when we were there, but that didn't matter, we were welcomed with open arms. The beer available was particularly good, but I suspect this isn't only for special occasions. Had a lovely meal, and...

The Ugly Bug Inn which is now called 'The Norfolk Lurcher' home of the Ugly Bug Restaurant. My husband myself and our family visited this Restaurant at the weekend to Celebrate a Special Wedding Anniversary and we were not dissapointed. There were six of us in total the menu that is offered is so extensive there would not be anyone...

Having been before some time ago and found it good we went with family for lunch. We had chicken pie as the dish of the day. It was not inedible but it was not good - seemed like left overs being used up. The chap looking after us was told but he had no interest in our concerns - guess...

Met up with some friends, and received a nice welcome from an older man and dog. Our coats were taken from us and we were shown to the bar area. After we all arrived, we were shown to our table when an older cantankerous lady insisted I move my handbag as the waiting staff would trip over it (ironically one...

The Ugly Bug in is now called The Norfolk Lurcher and we recently had a meal there to celebrate my wife's birthday which was quite good. On the strength of this we rebooked the restaurant for the 17th. December and confirmed the time as 7.45, only to be informed on the evening before that they had made a mistake with...

Had a meal for 8 booked for Saturday evening, unfortunately due to illness, we were reduced to 6. Table set lovely, with crackers, blowers, party poppers and balloons. Lots of people eating, but not too noisy or cramped. Good portions, very good service, especially for one member of our party who had specific dietary needs. Did not feel rushed, very...

In my opinion, The Ugly Bug is a really unappealing name for a restaurant (thankfully, it has now changed to the Norfolk Lurcher) but i did not have very high hopes. However, i could not fault it! The decor and ambience were perfect. The staff really friendly but never overbearing. I had a great pintof ale from the bar then...

We have been here so many times now, we absolutely love it. Staff are so kind and friendly and the animals are gorgeous! The food is delicious, reasonably priced and plenty of it! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody as the food is to die for! Alfie the gorgeous boy is pictured below!
