John Cleese with all his mad, swirling genius in its pomp could not have dreamt up Caistor Hall. Or if he had, it would have been rejected by the head of BBC light entertainment as simply too implausible. I won’t detail the entire list of faults because there are still plenty of things I want to do in life, so...

We had our wedding day on 5th November, which we had been planning since last July so it needed to be special, it's such a shame it did not deliver in some parts. The morning was fantastic, couldn't fault it, from having the ceremony having photos taken outside and the whole hotel with our decorations looked spectacular with the help...

Booked a Superior Room for a nice romantic night following a night out in Norwich. How disappointing! Unfortunately the latest poor reviews went on after I’d booked the room as an advanced purchase. Always think there should be praise when it’s due so to begin with so a couple of compliments: 1) hotel looks fantastic from the outside when you...

Stayed Friday to Saturday in the four poster room above. On the surface, the room looks tired, but fine. However, cleanliness is a huge issue. Used towels from last guests still in the room, so sent those to reception. Empty packet of crisps under the TV chest, bathroom floor not clean with visible brown stains on floor around the loo!....

Caistor Hall was the first place that we looked at when booking our wedding and I'm so glad we picked this lovely hall to have our special day.. From booking til the day after the wedding nothing was to much trouble and we were able to do pretty much what we wanted to make it an amazing day. There is...

What a beautiful place! My partner took me here for a surprise engagement! The room we had was amazing, beautiful princess bed, big bath in the bedroom with TV above and lots of lovely toiletries available in bathroom. We went downstairs for dinner which was presented stunningly and tasted devine. The key lime pie is definitely worth ordering. The waitress...

Booked last minute on a Friday evening after a day of driving. Country House? only from the outside. The interior is shabby, run down with carpets that should have been replaced long ago. It is in desperate need of an update. My room was furnished with odd pieces of heavy furniture and had erratic hot water and a flickering light.....and...

My fiance and I just had dinner at Caistor Hall this evening in advance of our wedding next year and we were really pleased. The food and service were excellent. I'm vegetarian and they went out of their way to offer me extra options. Both our meals were delicious, and we had a lovely evening. Can't wait for our wedding...

We booked a celebratory afternoon tea for 7 people and were delighted with the food and service. The hotel is tired in places but the staff were very accommodating and we all enjoyed the food served outside on the terrace. The price of the afternoon tea compared very favourably with other places we have visited and the 2 children in...

From the moment my husband and I were welcomed into Caistor Hall to view the hotel as a potential wedding venue to our wedding day I have never experienced such excellent...impeccable service. The old vicarage itself is a beautiful building, with elegant Georgian/ Old English charm, providing us with our dream wedding venue. But the building itself did not make...
