What a fantastic B & B, the hosts, Peter & Paula (and of course the adorable Denzil) really make you feel welcome. The breakfast is superb, using the best, locally sourced produce, cooked perfectly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend The Riftswood.

Stayed here for one night whilst watching the Grand Tour and our stay was fantastic! The owners, Paula and Peter where both very hospitable and extremely friendly. And not forgetting Denzel the poodle, he is also great and really friendly. Located within a short walk to the beach and town centre. Also unlike most places they have parking available. When...

Just returned from Whitby. We stayed at the Riftswood B&B run by Paula and Peter. What a lovely couple. Very nice, spacious room with en suite. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of local produce. Will stay there again on our next visit.

My 10-year old son and I stayed at Riftswood during the August bank holiday week, staying 4 nights in Room 2 (the biggest room). We had already read the lovely reviews on here so had high expectations before we arrived, and I was happy to say, we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, Paula was waiting for us...

What a lovely, warm and friendly couple Paula and Peter are (and Denzil the dog!). Paula picked us up from the train station and offered us drinks on arrival so we had a cheeky couple of wines ;-) Nothing is too much trouble and their knowledge of the area, restaurants and local transport is invaluable. If you don't have a...

We stayed at Riftswood b&b as an early birthday treat for my husband. We arrived and had a very friendly welcome from Paula and Denzil the dog, with fruit cake and a cup of tea. The room was clean and spacious enough for our stay, it is a short 10 minute walk into Whitby just off the sea front. Breakfast...

Room nice and comfortable, we were asked what we wanted for breakfast each morning which was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. It was quiet and within walking distance of Whitby with some excellent views, and who can forget Denzil what a star. Will definitely stay here again.

Our first to trip to Whitby and how lucky were we to stay here. Riftswood is just behind Westcliff attractions and 2 mins walk away from the Westcliff attraction stop for the Whitby Town Tour bus. This means it's close enough to walk to the harbour, town and beach but lovely and quiet. A wonderful room , comfy bed, brilliant...
