Spot on. Great hotel with lovely clean rooms, and a friendly welcome from the owners. Excellent location not far from spectacular walks to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, and very quick drives to either. Loads of helpful local info from owners and a nice comfy bar with an open fire. Welcome to Yorkshire!

...staying here inspired a short story that eventually made it to print. Great staff, a homely (if at times spooky) feel and within throwing distance of my favorite town. An unforgettable stay, I'll visit again.should business demand.

The bedroom was ok but it was hardly the "deluxe" double room we were expecting. There was nothing deluxe about it. There were sweetie wrappers/bit of rubbish under...

We had had some super B & B stays including complimentary cream teas and glasses of Sauvignon Blanc on arrival to superb breakfasts with homemade produce etc. The manager at York House phoned us at 5 pm on Sunday 17...
