Cannot fault this wonderful B&B! We were a little early for check in but were pleasantly greeted by Val and Pete and were given tea, coffee and homemade scones whilst our room was finished. We were then taken to room 8 at the top of the house, a lovely little room with all the amenities you would need, comfy bed and...

Ellie's guesthouse was excellent. To start with it is in a great location - quiet street but very close to both the beach and the bustling centre of Whitby. Val and Pete were lovely and very helpful with getting us sorted out for parking the car. Our room (room 8 at the top of the house) was absolutely lovely with...

We were in room 7 on top floor which was overall very well maintained and a recent bathroom upgrade. Most of the rooms have undertaken updating over the last...

It all started with a warm friendly reception, after which we were shown to a nicely furnished room which was spotless. I had forewarned that I was a coeliac and this proved to be no problem at all, breakfasts were marvellous. We enjoyed our stay so much we managed to bag and extra night which was lucky as from that...

We absolutely loved Ellie's guesthouse for the comprehensive amenities and the helpfulness and friendliness of our hosts Val and Pete Vardy. Lots to do around The area and while busy in August, the guesthouse is in a very quiet area within easy walking distance to the township of Whitby. Thanks Val and Pete for making our stay so enjoyable.

Nothing negative to say. Lovely B & B, very comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms, great breakfast and excellent location. Val and Peter were great hosts and gave us some excellent information on the local area. Highly recommended. Take earplugs though because the seagulls never sleep.

Breakfast was freshly prepared along with fresh fruit and delicious home made scones. Good parking facilities because you can use the school grounds around the corner if you can't...
