We had 2 nights at The Belfry recently and everything about our stay was excellent. Phill and Sophie are great hosts, providing immaculate rooms, beautiful breakfasts and an all-round friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It made our stay in Whitby very special, and we can't wait to go back.

We have just stayed at the Belfry for two nights, Phill and Sophie are perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming with a good knowledge of the local area. The Belfry is beautifully and tastefully decorated and very comfortable too. It is spotlessly clean and bright and airy, lovely linen and towels. It is really well located to get everywhere but also...

The Belfry is everything you can want from a good quality Bed and Breakfast, great location, good hosts, lovely rooms and enjoyable breakfast with a changing daily special to add interest. Phil has great local knowledge and is helpful in suggestions of what to do and where to go. We would stay again.

Just returned from a smashing stay at this first-class B&B. Located in a quiet square, next to a church on the cliff-top at Whitby, this offers a peaceful and very comfortable stay, with easy access to the harbour and town, 10 minutes walk away. However the climbs/ steps are steep and would be challenging on foot for people with restricted...

We stayed at The Belfry for the third time last week. Whitby is a lovely place for a short break and this wonderful guest house is the perfect place to stay. It's a tall 1880s terrace which is so typical of seaside towns and the interior is decorated in a crisp 'coastal' style with comfortable bedrooms and a guest lounge....

We recently stayed at the Belfry for two nights for a Birthday trip for my wife. The Belfry is located close to West Cliff just a short walk to the seafront and the famous Whalebones. A five minute walk and you are in the town centre. Car parking permits are supplied for your stay with plenty of spaces on the...

We have just spent 2 nights at The Belfry and loved our stay here. Firstly Sophie and Phill are very welcoming and work extremely hard to make the guests welcome and looked after. The rooms are fresh and modern and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and cooked fresh with locally sourced produce. For us, the location was spot...

I would like to say that this b&b is a lovely, modern place to stay. Both Phil and Sophie are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, they are also very welcoming. I would recommend this place every time.

Since our last visit, The Belfry has been totally refurbished. It was a lovely B&B before but now is a very cool and stylish place with a modern, laid back vibe; owners Phill & Sophie have certainly put their stamp on the place. All the things which made it special before are still there; friendly and welcoming service, thoughtful touches...
