My husband booked for us to stay here to celebrate my birthday. We were allocated room no 1 on the ground floor which had a modern 4 poster bed ,a sofa ,an armchair and coffee table, coffee/tea making facilities and TV. There is a very recently fitted and well appointed bathroom with a shower over the bath. Best of all...

Mostly enjoyed stay here. Good points include value for money room and food, original features of property, location in countryside away from busy town. Bad points are that some areas are a little run down and base of bed/mattress in room 18 was past its best which was reported to reception on leaving. Room 18 was very spacious with lovely...

This is an 'unmolested' country house close to Whitby but away from the tourist crowds. Our room was huge with a lovely garden view. The bathroom was large but lacking in surfaces to put one's stuff. Dinner and breakfast were very good with cordial staff and a nice touch is complementary sherry in the cozy guest lounge. The grounds are...

Dunsley Hall is a lovely building in a great location (quiet but close to the unspoilt Sandsend) and the interior is very nice, well decorated and clean. The room was good and dinner was good but they haven't quite got it right here. Minor niggles were - checking in in a small porch area so that anyone coming in the...

We stayed here for a few days and found everything just right. The staff were most helpful, the room super and the food first class. Situated in the country a few miles from Whitby the hotel is within easy reach of the coast from Sandsend down through Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay etc. Even inland to to Grosmont and Goathland....

Spotless room with excellent food and staff who always seem happy. Fab Gothic surroundings and lots of history . Location is possibly best near Whitby with secure car parking and peaceful. Dinner on both nights fab and breakfast superb. Will be back soon and many thanks to chef who prepared excellent gluten free food.

Stayed one night DBB in March on offer. When we arrived we were sent to the top of the house (The old servants quarters?) where we found a large bedroom (with large bed) with TV, large bathroom & our own separate lounge with TV. Absolutely beautiful. Dinner was extremely good - only nit-picking point was I ordered the chicken &...
