It was a rainy day, it was Goth weekend but the darkness was invisible when we arrived, fascinating building met be very help receptionist and the room was just fantastic, very large room with suite and a large bed windows all around I could have stayed in all weekend. The hotel was clean, welcoming and efficient. We were in the Lodge, not in the main building, the lodge is at the top of a steep hill, gets the heartrate up :) The room was spotless, bed was extremely comfortable, no noise from the seagulls tho or the hospital generator i have heard mentioned?? The bathroom was a good size...

My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay at this fantastic hotel. We first stayed here last July; again overnight for his 50th and so when we were talking about celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary there was only one place to go!! Lovely room, very welcoming staff and right in the heart of Whitby WITH ONSITE PARKING!!!!...

We have stayed at Bagdale on a number of occasions both in the main hotel and in the lodge but on this occasion we stayed in the main hotel. Came down to celebrate a friends 40th in February. The staff were fantastic, the room was so comfortable and romantic with four poster bed. Fabulous kippers for breakfast too! Great location for exploring whitby too. Hope to return again one day

me and my wife booked this place last minute 2/5/15 ,we stop in whitby at least twice a year and always liked the look of bagdale when we walked past it,we wasn't disappointed ,we stopped in the annex room number 12 ,lovely four poster bed,large walk in power shower lovely and clean. breakfast was nice and also the service,the hotel...

A party of nine ate here and the food was fantastic. The setting is unique and service very good and efficient. I had the smoked haddock which was exceptionally tasty. Starter, main and drinks £30 which i felt very reasonable for quality. Will be back and recommend.

Ideal location near bus and rail stations and the harbour with good parking. The staff are more than helpful and make you feel special. The restaurant has a new chef and is proving very popular.
