Sea View at Whitby is more than the 'name on the tin': the sea view is indeed framed in a wide vista from the front windows and the dining room, with views up the hill to the ruined Abbey from this charming guest house. It's a spotlessly clean, tidy and well maintained property. Our sea-facing room was big with comfortable... More

I have just returned from a lovely weekend at this fantastic guest house! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners who were not quite ready however we were there early. Despite this we were made to feel comfortable after a long journey and one of the owners told us where to eat/explore in the area. I was with my... More

Brian and Abby have certainly got it right here. From the fresh milk, fruit bowl, and water in the fridge in your room to Brian's Parkin to have with your tea - by the way I didn't really like Parkin until I tasted this!. We had a room with a fantastic view over the harbour and the abbey along with... More

My mum and I have just returned from a 5 night stay at Seaview and once again, we can t fault it. Stunning views, spotlessly clean, plus all the added extras make this a fabulous guest house and we wouldn't chose to stay anywhere else in Whitby. Brian and Abbey looked after us very well and nothing was too much... More

What a great guest house! We received a very warm welcome from Brian & Abby. The house is beautifully decorated with little flashes of Art Deco. Every time I walked up the stairs I spotted a different decorative piece. The room was spacious and spotless. We had lovely view of the award winning garden and Mary Poppins rooftops. The room... Great place to stay, not our first time so that says a lot. Brian and Abby are warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is well prepared, presented and plenty on your plate including choices. Brian is a fab cook and great home made jam, marmalade, and lemon cheese maker. The rooms at the front have great views of Whitby... More

The Seaview Guest House was a great find with a great location. Lovely room with great views and the hosts made sure our stay was everything it could be, down to the little things of homemade Parkin in the room, fruit, water and tea/coffee making facilities. Great selection for breakfast - fresh fruit, cereal, toast ad preserves, yogurt, full English,... More
