We loved our stay at Sanders Yard earlier in the year (March 2015), the location is great (just off the cobbles) - you need to park up at the pay and display. We had the place to ourselves and were offered a room upgrade (however, by that time we had already availed ourselves to the grand bathing facilities, so kindly...

The room was beautiful, very tastefully decorated, with lovely antique pine furniture and beautiful Tiffany bedside lamps. Loved the welcome tray, with a selection of coffees and teas, biscuits, and even bottled water (still and sparkling). Bathroom was gorgeous with Victorian style bath, lush to soak in! Location excellent, staff lovely, and breakfast was perfect. We'll be back definitely!

We have just returned from a two night stay in Sanders Yard and what a lovely place. We were very impressed by the service we received in this wonderful little gem which is situated on the lovely cobbled Church Street. When we arrived we were checked in by a lovely member of staff who helped carry our bags up to...

A lovely setting. Great room with everything we could need. I'm a little in love with Whitby...there is something magical about this place..and Sanders Yard just made our holiday. Best room is No 1. Windows on both sides, comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom, big leather sofa bed and a lovely buzz of business. Quirky setting. Full of character. Couldn't fault it!...

This idyllic B&B is situated in the middle of lovely Whitby town on Church Street - prefect location. Our room no 3 was upstairs. It is very roomy, clean and, ok, we can always talk about the deco (no exactly our taste), but it is fresh. And lovely bed. The bathroom was newly done. The only minus was that there...

We return to Whitby every summer for family holidays - and we have taken to eating at Sanders Yard as a bit of a ritual. A little hidden gem, the dark alleyway opens up to a really pretty courtyard with plenty of seating. Inside, there's a room full of comfy sofas and a more formal dining area. The menu is...

stayed for4 nights with our new pup Spud, in the Old Dispensary...fantastic. Cottage was quirky, lovely & clean, & possibly one of the best/strong showers we've had, although the bathroom is small, we managed fine. Breakfast was amazing, with a good choice, & Spud loved his daily sausage. The staff are so friendly, its a joy to be greeted by...

We stayed one night in the Jade attic room and found it very comfy and quiet (sea gulls aside, but I quite like their chatter). Good selection of drinks and biscuits in room. DVDs, Sky TV and free wi-fi available. Comfy camp bed for our five-year-old, he loved it. Staff were all lovely. We ate lunch in cafe and were...

This is the 3rd time of visiting, we were given room 3 which is smaller than the other rooms we have previously stayed in yet its the same price, the pillow cases had stains, the bed was quite uncomfortable and the bath had a couple of long hairs in it. Breakfast is usually fantastic, however, this was not the case...
