This is a difficult review because it has a lot going for it but it's little bits that drag it down , Pros are location and price it's very cheap by York standards but the place just needs a good old clean and then redecorating from top to bottom and some new carpets throwing about the place . The pictures...

We recently stayed at the White Horse. We were so disappointed. On arrival we were stood at the bar for 5mins before anyone spoke to us. Then we were told our room wasn't quite ready, this was at 2pm, we eventually got to our room at 3. Once in the room I walked in and was disappointed that the room...

Stayed here for a last minute getaway. We booked last minute so choice was limited. The location of this pub is the best ever you're literally across the road from everything york has to offer. There is no parking and cost around 20 for the night across the road. Checked in with the lady on the bar who shown us...

Very much a locals bar - As we stayed nearby and popped in for a pint one evening. Bar was filled with locals and a couple of good ales on - friendly service but very much a locals pub with pool table

stayed here a few times now, just a short walk from the train station and a stroll to the shops, bars and all the attractions. basic accommodation but as you would expect for the price, if like us you just need a basic place to sleep then it will suit you fine.

Very basic accommodation offered and for the price not to far from what I expected. The pub is within walking distance to Yorkminster and shops etc. The room and en suite were clean, with the tea and coffee pack only enough for one cup. So we were disappointed when no cleaner came in after our first night to replenish this,...

the rooms were very basic which I expected at the price but I felt the rooms could have been cleaner, there was a smell in the bathroom that came and went and yes the plumbing was very noisy. The bar itself was ok for q drink before you headed out at night for a meal and a drink. The hotel...

This hotel needs some serious TLC. I stayed here for 2 nights and was quite embarrassed that the hotel was actually taking money for room provided. It was very outdated and needed a good clean. There were bulbs out in some rooms and wallpaper peeling away from the walls. I even went to the local sainsburys and purchased a bottle...

Currently still here but saying for 2 nights. Rooms are brilliant space like having your own little apartment. On the top floor room 4 . Rooms do need a upgrade but for what you pay for you can't moan. Location it's central couldn't wish for a better place. Very friendly staff quick check in. Definitely be coming back here love...
