Nice hotel with friendly staff, good amenities. Irons and hairdryers available upon request. The bar is new, not sure if this is a new building but it looked it. Road noise was noticeable so maybe not the best for light sleepers but I really enjoyed my staff. Thank you.

Booked Travelodge as we visited York for my wife’s birthday and found it to be one of the best we have stayed in, hotel and room very clean and tidy and bed very comfortable. Not too far from the city centre and York’s main attractions and the free parking was a bonus and there seemed plenty of spaces .

Good location, very clean and has parking. Very basic accommodation - this to be expected. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown. Pretty much a bog standard hotel buffet. Plates were cold, food was cold (apart from the beans). Food was plentiful and we did see people going back to the buffet many times.

Great stay, we were on the 4th floor, nice views, all the staff we met were friendly especially at breakfast, well worth a visit just for parking alone. Walk into your is not to far away, and a drive through Costa coffee attached. Will definitely return.

Had a really good value booking for a few days in York with two other couples. All of us were well pleased with our stay. The greatest delight (and surprise) was the restaurant where there was plentiful supplies of breakfast, well cooked and presented. Travelodge breakfasts have not always delighted me but this was super. We learned from the delightful staff that it had been refurbished recently. Usual standard of comfort and cleanliness in the rooms. We are likely to return and recommend this to anyone considering a stopover.

We have stayed here twice. Great location for access to the city. Free parking on site. Friendly staff, clean rooms, delicious breakfast. Evening meals available and bar open until 4am. Hair dryers available if you ask the reception staff. We will definitely be staying here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by extremely friendly and genuine staff. Parking was free. The room was huge, clean and perfect temperature. The whole place was spotless and beautiful. There are sockets either side of the bed, which have USB as well as socket (contrary to what the manager of Leeds Central travel Lodge tried to tell us (see my review of Leeds Central Travelodge). The reception and bar was well staffed, even after midnight. Our room fobs had stopped working and they sorted it straight away every one of the staff members (of which there are many) was very polite, helpful and genuinely lovely. The breakfast was delicious with good quality, tasty bacon and sausages and a wide choice. It's only a 10 minute stroll into the centre of York, just far enough to be away from the noise from the bars and clubs. Absolutely perfect stay. Will definitely book here again. Thank you every bit worthy of 5 stars.

Great stay, great service, immaculate and clean and modern. Free parking was a bonus, 10 mins walk to the city centre. Really helpful staff. Coming back for another stay in May as it was that good. Breakfast was excellent.

We have stayed every year since it was built. It’s our favourite Travelodge hotel and we’ve stayed in a lot of them. They’ve changed the bar cafe area which is so much more inviting for a relaxing evening before retiring to your room. The hotel is far enough to avoid the night time but close enough to walk into the night life if wanted to.

Really nice stay, staff very helpful and room well equipped and clean. Breakfast great value. Central location. Only down side is there is no luggage store so if like us you wanted to explore more between checking out and getting your train it is not easy .
