Thank you for such nice feedback and thanks for returning.
The team will certainly keep up the good work and we look forward to welcoming you again.
We paid £190 room only for a Friday night and £156 for the Saturday night. At this price for a room, there is an expectation. Our view was over the front of the hotel, with a side view of the car park. On entering the...More
Weekend away as a Christmas Treat lovely walk into York and friendly reception, looking forward to breakfast in bed put the leaflets out the night before and come the morning nothing. We will go bed only basis next time
Although it is okay, it's very expensive for what is clearly not a 4 star hotel. Got a superior room that was all a little tired with dated decor. Didn't realise you could still buy wood chip wallpaper

Hi Lisa M in answer to your questions. When we was there the bar was open until a least 12 it is a large area so I dont think there would be a problem with him sitting in the bar area. During the day you could perhaps have a look at Railway museum which is free and very interesting seeing the old trains from the past they even have a bullet train from Japan which you can sit in and a simulated ride which you do have to pay for. Also the Jorvic Museum which is about vikings they also have a ride which is good. They have remade streets from this time and even the smells !! You can pre book tickets so you wont have to que but maybe it wont be busy when you go.
Hope this has been of some help Enjoy your stay
