Always have no issues staying with ibis across the UK - never took the time to review it but I am getting better! The staff are always friendly and the hotels are always convenient and reliable. Cannot complain for the price, makes visiting other cities a bit cheaper so we can do it more often

Do not stay in this hotel!!!! It’s filthy, broken, and the walls are so thin you can hear every word, text message ‘ping’ and the rest!! Parking was tight but fine and the reception area is dated but ok. That’s all the positives. The hotel is in serious need of a refurb. I get that Ibis as a brand is cheap and basic and we’ve stayed in a few but they’ve always been clean. This had so much mould in the bathroom on the shower curtain and grout, dirt and cobwebs in the bedroom, a teeny bath with no working tap to fill it, tea and coffee but no milk, and carpet which was lifting, plaster falling off the wall and paper thin walls. It also smelled really bad of stale food.

A very low priced hotel in an excellent location for access to all the interesting places in York - and there are many. One of the quietest hotels I have been in. Excellent bed, great shower and the option of a good breakfast. All perfectly clean and manned by pleasant staff. The only slight negative was that there is not much ventilation in the bathroom as there it has no window so that room got very steamy after a shower. But I will definitely stay here again as I love York.

The hotel is nice and relatively cozy- it’s close enough to all amenities and only a short walk into the main town centre… If I could give one fault, the car park (situated behind the building) is tiny with very little room for manoeuvring- people with big cars will struggle

Left bags nice and secure 2 hours early before check in as walked around york first. Friendly man & woman on reception to help us check in always said hello/bye as we left. Room not the best could hear everything from other room but was clean which is all you can ask for really. Easy to check out. Only downfall was rude staff member at night time telling us to hurry up and pick a drink as he has loads to do which we shouldn’t feel rushed to pick a drink we was only stood there not even a minute. Other than that all okay for a cheap night away.
