I thought this Premier Inn was good, staff were friendly and hotel was good but what hopefully would expect from a Premier Inn. Ideal really as only 5-10 mins drive from Woodstock weddings venue. Breakfast was good although I feel little pricey for what you probably have.
PremierInn does it again, worth while staying a little out of the centre of York to get such a good nights sleep, these beds are amazing, and first time we stayed in the premier room too. Thanks for the free water and chocolates too!
Room smaller and darker than other premier Inns. Shower curtain leaked water onto shower room floor and whole bathroom area was very shabby. No restaurant or bar. Breakfast area small. No buffet. food cooked to order and was lukewarm. Overall a big disappointment.
Hi, We stayed here for one night in a standard room, which we have no complaints about, save the extractor in the bathroom didn't work so we got steamed up pretty quick@ It was room 109 for future reference. The breakfast was OK - save the scrambled eggs ' which were awful. Conclusion - perfectly OK but basic - you get what you pay for and it was for just one night. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Premier inn advertise £35 per night but that's not really true we paid £120 for 2 and an extra £10 for breakfast which was pretty much stone cold and took about 40minutes to arrive at the table, good job we didn't go York for the hotel experience
This is an ideal spot for York City Centre, the bus or park and ride are very near by. The staff were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. There was a pub literally 50 yards away where we could go for a drink at the end of a busy day and unwind, thank you to all the staff, particularly Rachel from the catering team who gave us so much help with bus routes etc.
Pretty dated and therefore expensive for what it is... we arrived and had to wait a few minutes for the staff at the front desk to finish having their conversation, which two of them continued having as we were served so the third had to shout over them. We were told the water was off with no explanation or apology but it was planned to be back on again soon. When we got back the water was indeed on but at a very low pressure so the toilet didn't flush properly and the shower fluctuated. Also there was no soap in either the sink or shower dispensers. Room very hot and no air conditioning, thank goodness we weren't there during the summer months. We didn't risk breakfast as it looked like a youth hostel style canteen! Comfy beds and a quiet location however the corridor outside our room stunk of weed! Would recommend one of the other premier inns in York as £135 per night for this was daylight robbery.…
Everything is perfect for visiting York. The hotel offers free parking and bus stop outside the grounds associated with hotel are delightful. The pub. When open. The Dormouse. Is gorgeous. Hard to fault really. But. The hotel doesn’t have AC and the room was hot and uncomfortable! We thought unbearable. Also. Why doesn’t the extraction fan in the bathroom NEVER work? In the end we left early as we couldn’t get comfortable. I made cup of tea and sat outside. The orchard in the grounds is ancient and beautiful. However. Without AC. It’s a problem
The staff were wonderful couldn’t do enough for you very helpful with bus information the breakfast cooked to order and to perfection however the bed was horrendous definitely needed replaced and the drains had a really bad smell that no amount of water could remove
Upon arrival the first thing you saw was smiling staff I can't give it anything other than 5 stars because all the staff was so friendly and helpful and approachable from start to finish the breakfast wS so fresh cooked to order the rooms was clean and fresh if I was going back to York would definitely book in there again I truly hope Premier Inn values all the staff within this hotel
