My boyfriend and I stayed at The Queens Hotel after our original holiday was cancelled. I shall get the negatives out of the way first: our bedroom wall had a couple of holes in; the hotel bar (like all hotel bars) is very expensive and my boyfriend and I were the youngest guests at the hotel. All that aside: The...

I booked a two night break with super breaks for my husband and myself, the deal included dinner, bed and and breakfast .We have just returned to our room after dinner on the first night. The meal was poor and reminded me of school dinners, although the school I went to had better meals! The couple on the next table...

Booked this hotel on the morning at the very last minute but we weren't disappointed. Location is right on the river and within minutes of the town centre. Our room didn't overlook the river but it was of a good size and standard. A bit tight parking in their garage but having said that its great have parking facilities on...

We stayed here for 2 nights and thought the hotel was brilliant. It's in a fantastic location overlooking the river and within walking distance of the town. Our room was in the attic, so we thought it might be a problem, but it was very cosy and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. We will...

Booked the hotel through Superbreak to take my wife away for a weekend. If you wanted to you could nitpick about this hotel and that it looks a little "tired", but I will just say that we quite enjoyed our stay - the staff were helpful - even down to frying or poaching eggs at breakfast which was buffet style...

The hotel it's self it's a little old fashioned but it is clean and well maintained. We stayed in a double room with a...

Used Trip Advisor to source this Hotel. Feedback reflects well what I found. Hotel is well situated for City shopping and tourist activities. Right by River; beware top floor river views are on tip toe through skylight, ask beforehand. You can see the Minster across the skyline. 3 mins walk and you are in the heart of the City. Rooms...

Love York and can't get a better central location than the queens hotel. It's right on the river and slap bang in the centre of everything. Lovely rooms and fab food. Been to York loads and loads of times and would always recommend the hotel to everyone

Although some of the reviews for the Queens on here were a bit off putting I found the hotel to Very Good for the price. The rooms / hotel does need a bit of TLC, but it was clean and warm, which was nice after a very cold day walking around York. The location is good & a short walk...
