Lovely one night stay at Premier Inn Blossom Street North. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Our server Laura was friendly, welcoming and professional.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting York. We wanted to stay at a chain hotel due to the cleanliness required in the midst of COVID-19 (personal preference) We upgraded our room to an executive room and in all honesty we were not expecting much but were very surprised and happy with what was on offer. The room did not feel like we were staying in a premier inn at all. The rooms are bigger than standard and the little extras make a big difference. The storage space, the large shower, the extra amenities such as fridge and coffee maker and air conditioning. There is car parking on site that is chargeable but attached to the hotel which is also great. The location is great. Not in the immediate city centre but right by the walls and literally about 5-10 minute walk into the city centre. If we to come to York again we would most definitely return to this hotel.

We have stayed in Premier Inns in Cambridge, Winchester and Norwich and have never had cause to make so many negative comments. We are not in the habit of making complaints but your York hotel fell very short of acceptable standards given that we paid £378 for 3 nights without breakfast. Hotel smelled musty in corridors and in our room. Room 1106 was very cramped. Of our party of 9 friends the other 3 standard rooms booked were larger and some had windows that opened. We only discovered this on the last day or would have asked to be moved. Rooms not automatically cleaned daily - why? Room 1106 felt damp and our clothes consequently were also damp - unable to open window and the bathroom extractor not able to clear the steam sufficiently. Aircon although worked did not clear it. Not impressed by office style toilet paper dispenser - an insult to paying customers Breakfast (tried on one morning only) was abysmal - no hotplates working so staff doing their best but the cooked breakfasts were cold - we complained and were told we did not have to pay Wifi useless. The helpful lady at reception gave us free access to the 'ultimate' wifi on the last day but that wasn't working either.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and corridors. Has signs around the hotel where rooms are to keep the noise down after 7pm. All housekeepers we came across while working all greeted us with a smile and asked how are stay was which was a nice touch.

From checking in to the end of our 3 day stay, Blossom St North met our expectations. Check in was quick and easy, room was immaculate, very spacious and the air con was just a god send. Every member of staff were friendly and always made time for guests, housekeepers looked absolutely rushed off their feet but still had time for anyone.

I recently stayed here upon visiting some friends in York and I must say, I haven’t seen anything like it. For a three star hotel it was phenomenal! The staff were all friendly, the room was immaculately clean. The breakfast was well done and catered to my vegetarian requirements. The black out curtains really helped as well, it was so peaceful not having any beams of light coming in whilst I was trying to sleep. Will definitely stay here again!

Bad point: Car parking!!! I was charged £28 for 2 nights stay even though we only stay one night, we arrived at 11.30am & left at 3.30pm. If you stop somewhere of course you are going to want to sightsee on the 1st and 2nd day. The notice in the carpark that says you have to leave by 12pm to only get charge one night stay is tiny, the larger one says £14 a night!!!! Never mind the card machine wouldn't work and I had to go to prove it to a staff member, all while my babies were tired and screaming in the car. Not happy at all and made me want to try somewhere else next time. So account for an extra £28 on your nights stay.

It’s what you expect for a premier inn but I didn’t expect to be kept awake all night with what sounded like a herd of elephants stampeding across the floor above constantly. The childrens ‘camp’ beds were really uncomfortable. The room could go with a paint touch up but overall was clean and just a base for the night.

1, when booking my reservation (by phone I spoke to Benjamin) I requested a room with a shower (not over the bath) due to having arthritis. But when checking in we were told we don’t do them rooms, explained I had phoned up and was told YES that would be ok..we were given a bath mat…..but doesn’t help getting IN and OUT of the bath. SO WAS UNABLE TO HAVE A SHOWER FOR 3 DAYS. 2,Didn’t feel safe in this hotel, our room was in a separate building..didn’t need to use our key to enter the building, lift, door leading to corridor only when entering our room did we have to use our key. 3, this hotel didn’t even have a bar/restaurant…had to go 2 buildings down to premium inn south, so when it was raining we had to come out of our block walk though reception and go through this other door leading onto the main street and walk to the other hotel then back…this is not good when it’s raining heavily. It’s good to relax after your meal or take your drinks up to your room…we had to walk with alcohol back to our hotel with I’m sure is illegal. 4, on our first evening meal, the restaurant staff asking us what we would like to order..started walking away before we got chance to complete our order…but apart from that all 2 breakfast, 3 evening meal, and 2 afternoon meals were spot on 5, I’ve never been in a hotel which doesn’t have a phone in the room, I had to use my mobile to ring reception. 6, this hotel is ideal for the bus service and found it very easy to get about
