The Host was lovely, took us to town ( small fee) recommended a restaurant and made sure we were catered for. Breakfast next day was lovely. It's about 15 walk into town...

Arrived After being double booked in another hotel and not really knowing what to expect. Yes, as mentioned in other reviews, we did have to pay up front. We were then shown to our room which did seem small but I think this was mainly due to a huge bed! However everything we could want for in a short stay...

I booked a double ensuite room for one night for me and my boyfriend, as we were coming to York to do some Christmas shopping. Having read some of the reviews on trip advisor after booking, I was slightly concerned that our room may have been double booked - however fortunately this was not the case. Upon our arrival, I...

Therefore 2 couples in our group would have to share a family room....

However after calling the phone number the owner came straight down and let us in. We were told that the only method of payment was cash but as we had read this on the website...

I arrived & parked my car in the tiny parking lot & went into reception & rang the bell. The owner came out & told me straight up I couldn't park my car facing forward, I had to reverse in. I was driving a rather large hire car & I tried to do as he asked, but no matter what...
