Stayed here recently for 2 nights. Had a lively room very clean and comfortable. Nice en-suite facilities and tea/coffee making available in rooms. Food us prepared to order and there is plenty of it. Breakfast in particular is enormous. Overall a lively stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting accommodation for vs couple of nights. I would...

Value for money food, very welcoming a bit of a way out of town on fulford rd but easy walking distance of some B And Bs. Friendly staff regulars were very welcoming as well. Would recommend the onions ring stack.

Excellent pub, food drinks all great prices and quality. Great service very pleasant staff. Made to feel very welcome , nothing too much trouble. Ideally located for the Barbican short walk which is well lit and safe. Definitely will be back very soon.

The stay would have been ok I think, had it not been for the man in room one, who kept us awake all night with his snoring. I'm looking forward to reading his review about the magical nights sleep he had; he didn't stir once, apart from when he stopped snoring, to mate. This experience I'm afraid, has put us...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights over the weekend of 16/17 December to coincide with the Christmas market. On arrival we were shown to our room and shown around etc, the room was typical of what I would expect at a pub nice and clean warm enough and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was an extra at...

Room was value for money, on arrival the member of staff was welcoming and took time to show me around and explain domestic arrangements. Had a couple of pints in the bar later which were excellent and quality and the other people very friendly. York centre only a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was good value for money and the...

Difficult to position a review, as based on price comparison with other hotels in the area, there's little to actually complain about: certainly did not feel strongly enough to mention anything to the staff. Faults were very similar to the other reviews; windows had large draughty gaps in, which considering they were painted shut would benefit from the gaps simply...

Me and my boyfriend stayed just for one night and we had a great time. The girl that checked us in and showed us to our room was very friendly and helpful. We didn't had dinner but when we came back to the pub, we went into the pool area and stayed there having a couple of drinks because the...
