A perfect night away in York for our Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in room 8 and it was ideal for a 1 night break. I love the quirky decor, the staff are lovely and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely return! Thank you!

Had a lovely 5 night stay here. The staff is very friendly. The decor is beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. They offer a nice breakfast which you order the night before. The hotel is also well situated. It is a 15 minute walk from both the train station and the city center. The hotel also has an adorable kitty. Would recommend highly and would love to return here if I ever come back to York.

Stayed for a weekend and whilst the hotel is nice and comfortable and the staff are great it was pretty expensive I thought for what it was. Rooms are fairly nice but nothing special at all. Location good if you fancy a 15 min walk into the main part of the city.

We really enjoyed Clementine’s Town House hotel. Friendly staff; a beautiful, spacious, and comfortable room: on-site (and off-street) parking; and a short (5-10) minute walk to the main tourist area and the stunning York Minster. They also have a pretty seating area out back where we enjoyed a glass of wine one afternoon.

Good small hotel, well situated close to centre of York, 10-15 min walk from City walls. Centre is compact and walkable. Hotel room was well decorated with en-suite, friendly staff, hotel cat, room cleaned every day. Walking tour organised via hotel was informative, quirky, and good value. Overall York was pedestrian friendly and set up for visitors.

Stayed for 2 nights, and absoutely loved it here. The bedroom furnishings were decadent, the bed really comfortable, and furniture in the rooms was carefully chosen. Lovely garden area out the back. Excellent breakfasts! Very quiet at night despite being so close to the centre, which is also a big plus. Thanks to the staff for making us so welcome.

Very nicely decorated room but very small with a small double bed. We had trouble finding enough room to open both our suitcases. Clementine's is in a very good location a short walk outside the walls with parking - which is hard to find in York. Having shampoo and bodywash combined as one is not luxury in my opinion. Like a lot of accommodation in England there is no air conditioning and in such a small room it was difficult to get good airflow. I was hot even on a comparatively cool night and the bedlinen was more suited to very cool temperatures.

Hello c_mallow, Thank you kindly for taking time to review, we appreciate it alot. With it being a very warm week in terms of weather we are a bit tied back, unfortunately we cannot offer a large amount of cooling facilities, guests are urged to open windows and every room has a fan to use, which is located in the wardrobe in most rooms. In terms of the toiletries, it is a fair point that they are 2 in 1 and some guests may want it seperate. We do have seperate bottles that we can give out if requested, however the aim is to use as little plastic as possible. We understand your frustration and hope you understand. Came her to celebrate my husbands birthday with friends. Had a fabulous time. We booked 2 deluxe doubles. Wound if been nice to have been in the same building but didn’t impact on our stay. Had the attic room again which we love! Would recommend the clementines to anyone, it’s our come to place when we visit York.

It was amazing. So comfortable, welcoming and cozy! The cats there were adorable. The staff were lovely and so friendly. An all round amazing experience. I recommend this place to everyone. The interior design is sooo funky as well. I highly recommend staying here I had no faults.

Awful experience! Poky / dark room room. Balcony in the in car park. No phone. Had to ask for towels. No where to place luggage. Absolutely no room to move. Not even 2 star rating. This a best western in disguise. Less than satisfactory breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear you left disappoint but cannot help feeling your comments are unjustified. All of our rooms have a distinct character and charm, as you can see from our website. Unfortunately, it sounds like this particular room was simply not to your taste as with 3 large glass doors spanning the length of the room, I do not believe it can be described as dark and poke. I do wish you had felt able to raise this issue with us during your time here as I would have happily arranged you an alternative. Towels are provided in all our rooms with an additional set located within our wardrobes, if this was unclear, I do apologise.
