Good location for city trip in terms of central and opposite Morrisons but a huge amount of noise from the beer factory, I assume at night. Bedroom floor extremely used, a worn old carpet covered with bits of hair, dust etc. Toilet emitted extremely toxic smell when flushed. Room design odd with bed positioned under big trapdoor. Seating in breakfast...

We booked accommodation to attend a NYE party nearby. Upon arrival we were charged £89 for a family room. After getting into the room it was apparent the given room looked nothing like and matched the images on booking.com We had filthy net curtains, mouldy shower curtain, cracked floor tile, marked/cracked walls, exposed soil pipe housing in the bathroom, vomit...

The room was tired the bathroom was very small even in a family room that i was upgraded too. Breakfast was acceptable but not as good as the larger chain hotels around as the choice was limited. The hotel needs significant investment before i will go back. Its more like a bar with a few rooms.

We saw this venue was holding Christmas Party evenings so decided to book for the ten of our staff for a good night out. We arrived to find the hotel looked like it really could do with a refurb - apparently it only recently had! Well that was only the beginning. We went through to a 'school like' canteen to...

Stayed for 3 nights on a horse racing trip. This has to be the worst hotel ever. Opened the door to the room and was greeted with a stench of stale cigarettes and sewage. The room was dirty and tired looking the windows were nicotine stained. The bathroom was mouldy the sink was broke there is nothing positive to say...

Arrived at this hotel when working away and I'd look to be avoiding it myself in the future. The good points are that the food and drink is very cheap and affordable but that's about it really. The negatives start in the room. My room had a radiator in it though it was stone cold so getting to sleep and...

I was told it is "non smoking" it isn't and its grim. People on my corridor are smoking & my room stinks of stale moldy cigarettes. I asked them if I could change rooms to a corridor where people aren't smoking. their reply is they can spray the room....it is not just the smell that bothers me but the effect...

Friend booked this, I then read the reviews and assumed I was going to prison or something. However we arrived & the staff were excellent, once I arrived in my room I was deeply shocked. When you read the reviews you expect the worse. It was great, I will admit it isn't a Marriott but your not paying those prices....
