Just spent 3 nights in Byres Cottage. The location is fantastic for Kielder. The cottage easily accommodated 6 adults and each room was ensuite. Highly recommend this farmhouse for short breaks in Northumberland

What a lovely cottage! We stayed at the byres, it was clean, spacious and very well equipped. A crib and baby bath were supplied for our newborn. We arrived to fund homemade buns and a bottle of champagne as we were newly weds which was so thoughtful. Can't wait to come back.

Right from the freshly baked chocolate cake on the dining room table, alongside the handwritten welcome note, Nigel, Rachel and both of their Mums went out of their way to make us feel at home. Half an hour after we arrived, Nigel popped over to make sure we...

We have just stayed in The Stable for the week and neither of us wanted to ever leave. It is the perfect home away from home, with all the amenities you could wish for, in a beautifully picturesque setting. It's a great location for getting to Kielder, Hexham and other local towns but it's also far away enough from everywhere...
