Me and the other half were in Nottingham overnight as we had come for a festival. I had spoken with the proprietor Graham days before and he'd kindly allowed us to check in early. He warmly welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed. Our room was finished to a high standard and was clean. We felt very relaxed in our room and would recommend to anyone. We chose not to pre-order breakfast as we did not know whether we would be awake in time. After the lovely smells of food the next morning and an early wake. We instantly regretted our decision. I will stay here again on my next visit to Nottingham
You should avoid this place at all costs. Owners are dishonest to the highest degree. You should be aware that they do not communicate well at all. Trying to get in touch with them is very hard if you have any issues with your booking.
Ignore the negative reviews because it’s not a 5 star hotel, it’s a very clean, tidy and comfortable B&B, we could not fault it, yes there are a few little niggles but nothing to complain about, breakfast was amazing, bed, duvet and pillows so comfortable, bathroom very clean, we would stay again next time we visit Nottingham.
Breakfast was good but that was the only thing. Room: No storage space, bathroom door didn't close properly, bathroom fan didn't turn off, macerating toilet so very noisy, thin stud walls so could hear other toilets, shower didn't get hot, gap in wall near toilet. Needs some TLC. Parking is on the road.
This, as is often the case with B&B, is a house that has been converted into individual spaces. Our 'space', including the ensuite shower room/toilet, was smaller than our not very large bedroom at home. It was uncomfortably small with nowhere to put anything. The shower was good - a pity my partner does not like showers! The macerator for the sanitation was woefully noisy - it has obviously been installed with no thought given to anti-vibration mounts. Graham the landlord was very pleasant and served a good breakfast, however I'm glad that I was there for only one night. Sorry.
We had a very pleasant stay . Nothing you could really want for . I agree with comments passed in recent reviews .Everything you could require was in the room and all the sports channels were included ! Would definitely stay again .
Nothing was too much trouble. Great experience for the money and very personable. 10/10 Clean tidy room, with a fan that helped with the heat. Great tv with virgin, better than most hotel chains. And a great breakfast.
Room was very clean, tea and coffee provided in room (nice to see it being fair trade as well, don't see that often enough). There is a welcome booklet which gives details of transport links, pubs, restaurant and general house rules. Very decent TV in the room with virgin media with good selection of channels as well. Bathroom was spotless with shampoo, conditioner etc provided. Love the fish tank that's in the bathroom. We did struggle with the shower due to the head height being only suitable up to 6ft but clean and good pressure. There was a open living room (at the time the roof was being done) with fish tank (love it). Breakfast was outstanding with your choices made the night before with nice selection including scrambled eggs, fired toast and juices. All of the food was perfectly cooked and decent position. As much as it was a lovely stay there was some not so good parts including finishing touches In the room weren't the best, head height in the shower. Overall would love to come back and I'm sure this won't be the last time sure.…
Stopped for 4 nights with a colleague while working in Nottingham. Great breakfast, pleasant dinning area, comfy bed, clean & warm room, free wifi, TV with all the channels including sports & movies. Graham the owner is pleasant & polite & makes you feel welcome. The guest house was ideal for me & I would definitely stay here again.
So why did I knock the mark off then? There are lots of positives, I was greeted friendly and efficiently and shown around. You are welcome to sit in the lounge and enjoy the garden. First impressions were how clean everything is. The room was a decent size with a shower over the bath and separate toilet. Everything worked, no problems just push buttons, switch on whatever- everything worked! The tv has satellite channels and not just freeview. I knew it was half hour walk into town and it is a straight line so you can't get lost. However, it's not a scenic walk, with a housing estate on either side of the road. It is on the number 41 bus route and the stops all tell you how long until the next bus arrives. The breakfast is something else, presented really well but also good portions and quality ingredients. So why the point deduction? Sorry but it is location, that walk may intimidate some (no need to worry there were no gangs etc) and I also like private parking. The road is quiet and I parked right outside so shouldn't really bother me, but just "one of those things" for me. Everything within the house and the owners control is great and I'd come back. …
