Truth is, I really like this hotel and stay there often when working in Nottingham. Our last two nights of a multi-city staycation were in a cosy suite the friendly reception team were able to arrange (for a small additional charge). Reception has improved dramatically since Myrella became supervisor and the team now go even further to help. The recent refurbishment work is all but complete and certainly the hotel is more its old self; the pandemic's impact is waining too which is good, this hotel deserves to be thriving again. Breakfast were the only meals we had and both mornings didn't disappoint. It was really nice to see Denise again and to meet Evie(?) too... she looked after us very well too. I can't recommend this hotel enough and the vibrant city of Nottingham as well.
Staff were nice, Room was adequate. Did not eat here. I would recommend lowering the prices as the price was inadequate for the rooms you provide. We opted to eat elsewhere as we were told to by other guests.
See previous -even not all refurbished rooms are well glazed enough to stop really loud all-night room noise from main road outside, Digital key doesn’t always work, Stsaff seemingly don’t know the configuration of their own rooms, and will pass over evening room issues to other staff who don’t know what to do. Terrible hotel! Nowhere near worthy of the Hilton name IMHO. Shockingly bad, and I have no idea why I stayed more than once. Last but one time, there wasn’t even any plain still water available at breakfast, we had to spend severe minutes trying to get a member of staff to acknowledge we even existed, then they vanished without bringing back some water and we had to find someone else and basically follow them to the kitchen so they didn’t give up on finding simple still water. Breakfast here isn’t generally very good anyway IMHO. Worst Hilton ever, anywhere in my opinion, and I’ve stayed in Hilton’s in many countries, and lots of them in the UK. I’d strongly recommend don’t stay here. Oh and they say they have parking but a couple of times it’s all been blocked off for some sort of works directly outside the hotel, and anyway at best there’s only a handful of places for a large hotel. Terrible. …
A nice hotel in the centre of Nottingham. It's an old building but it has been refurbished to a good standard. My room was small but was exactly what I needed for my business trip, it may have been tight for 2 people. An open wardrobe, as one of the other reviews mentioned, is a cool idea. Huge TV. Breakfast was good. I wasn't able to try the gym/Pool. Would return and reccomend:)
Centrally located in Nottingham with ongoing updates to the rooms. The staff were All-Stars helping with just about every need that we had. They even helped locate and return (overseas) a lost package in a cab! Just an amazing experience!
Really nice hotel with clean and tidy reception and bar areas. The staff were warm and friendly but rather than offering a drinks voucher when I checked in, I had to ask after a colleague of mine reminded me that there was no Executive Lounge. The hotel parking was not available but the car park across the road was convenient, if a little pricy. Breakfast food was tasty and plentiful.
I stayed here recently, and the room was nice, a standard room and the whole place seemed recently redone, but I had nowhere to store my clothes as far as I could tell? I don’t know if I’m just being stupid, but my family couldn’t seem to find anything either
Good location if you want to stay in the city centre although as with some other reviews the hotel rooms are unfortunately victim to the noise from the street. We were on the 6th floor so it was a little quieter but noise still noticeable, so not sure how it would be if you were on a lower floor. Room 608 is a lovely spacious twin deluxe room but it looks out upon a wall immediately outside the window! It wasn’t a major issue as we were literally sleeping and leaving so I didn’t request to move but really disappointing for the price paid ( esp as the price did not include breakfast). Gluten free options definitely limited at breakfast-again I would have hoped for a higher standard. Nice pool and gym area which was a great bonus after a day of travelling.
