The staff at check weren’t friendly at all. High lack of information, and wasn’t impressed at all! Disappointed with the service & expected more from Hilton. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the room was clean, bed was comfy and loved the bathroom. Service really goes a long way..

Hotel's Favourite
Had a really good one night stay here, having stayed a few times before. Nice spacious room with great pillows ( would love to know where to get them). Full on in room amenities safe, fridge, water, iron etc. Modern bathroom, great shower, and a full on buffet breakfast which was first class. Staff were great, free parking, all positive. Only thing I can chip them on was, whilst the majority of guests adhered to the mandatory mask wearing rule, there were many guests wandering around mask free and non of them were challenged by staff. I’m not a COVID nervous person but thought this would be more properly managed. A great stay non the less, definitely recommend as a stopover as just of the M1.

Dear tonyjane, Thank you for sharing your experience, I am so pleased to note you enjoyed your stay. Next time you're in any of our hotels, speak to a team member who can direct you to our online outlets where you can purchase any of these items, I am so pleased you enjoyed the products. I completely understand your stance on mask wearing in the hotel, we do have signage throughout the property as well as subtle prompts from team members, if someone advises us they do not wear a mask due to exemption it can be challenging as it is not the team members place to question that, we continually review this and I hope you not an improvement on future visits. I hope you visit us again in the not too distant future and look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Philip Gallivan Front of House Director

I checked in at this hotel prior to a conference. When I checked into my room I found the room was very cold (19 degrees shown on the room thermostat), but I wasn’t able to control the heating using the thermostat inside the room. I called reception for help who advised they had to turn the heating on from their end. After 30 minutes waiting in the cold room, wearing my jacket and hat, I called reception again and waited another 20 minutes but still no heating. I went to reception and spoke with a female staff member at reception who advised me that my room was 24 degrees according to their computers. I explained that this was impossible and I know what 24 degrees feels like. The staff member was essentially restricting room heating controls and told me that I had to accept the current room temperature. I continued to protest this so I was offered a tiny portable heater, which I refused. I reminded her that this is the Hilton and I should be able to put my room temperature to any setting that I like and it should be under the control of guests, not the reception. I explained I was travelling for a medical conference and arrived early so I can be rested for the event, which was now not possible given the situation. A male staff member then overheard my dispute from the office and came out to apologise. I explained to him that is is completely unacceptable to hold the room heating, an essential component of a hotel room, hostage and force guests to sleep in such cold conditions. I explained I had already started to feel unwell from having stayed in that room for 2 hours waiting for the heating to be resolved. Finally the male staff member realised that this was a complete disaster and offered to change the room after 3 hours of disputes. This is simply unacceptable and a total disgrace.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. The lobby was beautiful and rooms very clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good. Car park was free. I have been traveling a lot recently and I believe this hotel has best management team.

Quite often use this hotel as a stop off on the M1. As ever, welcoming staff with prompt service. Rooms are always very clean. Bar food is off good quality and tasty. Although the hotel was very busy with conferences, this did not detract from the quality of service in either the bar or restaurant.

Hotel is kept in good order. Check in and staff generally good and helpfull. Disliked · The restaurant was poor. I ordered rib eye steak £29.50 It came cooked incorrectly and it was clearly not rib eye. I sent it back and it came back again overcooked but better than before. However it wasn't rib eye, more like rump and poor quality, not really edible. I left the majority of my meal unfortunately.

Quite a nice hotel, staff reasonable. Not much on menu. Breakfast fruit, cereal, porridge followed by fried breakfast. Bus to Nottingham just outside front, buses every 10mins. Tram stop around back of hotel not running as regularly as buses. Kentucky Fried Chicken just up road to have a change. We found a big change since we lived here. Main street Fawcett Street just not there. Go to the two markets to find an awful lot of shops shut. A great disappointment where we were concerned since living here last.

Really comfortable stay, warm and cozy room, super clean. We would recommend and return again. I guess the only thing missing was asking if I had a vehicle so that I would be fined but I inquired about this which avoided any fines. Overall a beautiful setting and a solid night sleep.

We had a really great one night stay which completely exceeded our expectations! The hotel definitely has a wow factor as you go in, with the surrounding water features, beautiful reception area and glass lift up to the bedrooms! The warm cookie on arrival was a really nice touch. The room itself was beautiful, really nicely decorated and very clean, as were the public areas too. Everything about the room was practical - good storage space, easy-to-use shower, comfortable chairs & bed, a perfect temperature without us having to alter anything, and lovely Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. We ate dinner in the bar and were really impressed with how extensive the menu was, lots of choice to suit everyone. The food was lovely, my partner had a pizza which he said was one of the best he's had, I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked, followed by an Eton mess which was delicious too. We were looked after in the bar by Lisa who is an absolute credit to you. From start to finish she was so friendly and attentive. There was a minor mistake with our order (not a big deal, we're all human!) and she dealt with it in such a nice manner, which is the most important thing! She delivered the best service I've received in a long time, so thank you for that. :) Overall an absolutely wonderful stay, we will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone!

I'm so pleased you found the room to be spacious and clean, and that you got the opportunity to eat dinner with us too! I will ensure your kind comments are passed along to Lisa, and it's fantastic to hear that the mistake with your order was dealt with promptly and professionally. We look forward to being able to welcome you back to the hotel again in the future! Kind Regards, Livv Parker Front Office Manager
