Needed somewhere cheap at the last minute. This was ideal, clean, homely, coffee facilities in room, hairdryer, lovely hot shower, simple but adequate breakfast, bed comfy, staff helpful, 15 min on tram into Nottingham, near M1 junction 24.

I did a deal because I lived here for 11 weeks whilst working (Mon-Fri). I stayed in one of the more basic rooms and it was clean, secure and warm. It was in a separate house at the bottom of the site and hence quiet. Having to pay all my own expenses this place was great, breakfast from 7:00 so...

I stayed here recently with a group on a minibus trip. The room, a ground floor twin, was clean and comfortable. Our welcome was very efficient and friendly. The hotel is well situated, with bus routes outside, and trains and trams quite close. This is a long-standing family-run hotel, and all the staff were very pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent,...

Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Management snippy and less than helpful. Food bland. Very very noisy establishment and I was waiting for the handle to fall off the door for all 3 nights. No glass in room for water was an issue. Mainly a stale smelly room was the issue!!

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the premises but now and again a guest will ignore the...

Comfortable, warm, all staff friendly, breakfast good. It was a great location for us within an easy walk to the high road. Parking in site was adequate. Price was ok for the area. If you want chandeliers and four posters go spend 3 times more elsewhere!

This is a great place to go if you're visiting the University of Nottingham and want to go up the day before to see the city. The prices were very reasonable with a cooked breakfast included which had lovely service. There are also little sitting rooms with magazines if you want to venture out of your room in the evening....

We stayed for 1 night visiting our son who is at university. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome from a lady called Karen. She accompanied us to our room. The room was quite spacious but above all spotless. So was the bathroom! The beds were comfortable too.In the morning we were served a nice breakfast and again...

There are two buildings. The main building with reception and breakfast room. I was shown to the second building, very old and dated, no on suite not even a toilet in your room. Room was damp and I woke up to find silver fish crawling on my bed. I complained and was given a room in the main building with...
