Tired and dated hotel (particularly the rear rooms). The breakfast is very good, with plenty of option and the staff are very polite and cheerful (Particularly the lady serving breakfast). I stayed in room 23 which was in the rear building, it was clean and the beds comfy (the 2 most important things) however the room was very dated, the...

We stayed at the hotel earlier in the year when visiting our daughter. We wanted somewhere a little 'out of town' and thought this would fit the bill. The hotel is what I would describe as a little 'dated' furnishing-wise, but our room was very clean, the bed linen was good quality as was the furniture. We had everything we...

I stayed for 2 nights at Hylands Hotel. The place is dated but the room was clean, the bed comfy and the facilities were very good. Excellent Wi-Fi in my room and plenty of parking. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was really good. Next time I'm in Nottingham I will certainly stay here again.

This hotel, although not modern, is clean, comfortable and well maintained . The ensuite room had everything I needed in it and parking was easy in their own car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service at reception and in the dining room was excellent. Breakfast was very good with lovely cafetière coffee, fresh fruit and...

Dog friendly and good value. The beds are really comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. We had a couple of issues with our room and the staff gave us a discount which was lovely. We stayed in the annexe which was noisy when other guests returned in the early hours, I'd have preferrred to be in the main building....

My husband and I was put up in the attic where there were 4 tiny beds (children beds). My husband is 6ft 2 and was slept all night with his legs bent as did I. The shower did not work. Breakfast, well you have had it, they all serve full fat milk, so I had no drink. And also there...

We hired out most of the hotel after a family wedding as it represented the best value in the area. It consists of three separate buildings and you have to go outside to move between them. The staff are great friendly and cheerful and the breakfast is ample and tasty. Down side is the rooms are in need of a...

Mainly chose this B and B ( not hotel) because of its proximity to Nottingham University as visited it for open day with my son. Emails were answered promptly of any questions I had prior to our visit. On arrival we had a warm reception, and were shown to our room (16). It was clean and in a quiet position,...
