On the 1st July 2022 we had an afternoon tea at the Lace Market Hotel, Nottingham. From our arrival to leaving the staff, Carl and co, were atterntative, professional and friendly. Cristina, the chef, came to explain the array of food for our tea. The bread was nice and fresh and the fillings ample. Cristina has some very good ideas about afternoon teas and in particular was interested when I mentioned about having `savoury`, `sweet` or the standard tea foods. I do not like sweet things whereas my husband eats anything. It would be wonderful to be able to order a different selection of foods. We have been to 4 of these afternoons and each one offer similar foods; it would be nice to have something a little difference. Saying all this, do not think the afternoon tea was poor; far from it, it was wonderful. Thank you…
Thank you to Maddie for great customer service when my husband succumbed to food poisoning at our recent stay at The Lace Market Hotel (nothing to do with the hotel) . Maddie was very kind and very helpful in a difficult situation and I am grateful for her help and sympathy. A very charming young lady,
Lovely atmosphere, chill vibes. There is a large selection of local ales and it is great locations near the centre of town. Jack gave great service and recommended a delicious red wine for me. I will definitely be returning.
Visited on the afternoon of the 24th June to an afternoon tea. All the staff were great, professional and wanting to please. The afternoon tea, of fresh sandwiches and home made cakes was delicious. The chef Cristina, visited everyone there to get feed back - a lovely touch and she was very nice taking the time to chat with everyone. Thanks to all the staff, a lovely afternoon.
Excellent Prosecco afternoon tea, lovely birthday treat. Service from Carl and Jo was superb. Food delicious, lots of homemade treats including the jam, amount was just right. Asked to suggest alternative cakes, could try shortcake/ traybake. Would highly recommend the afternoon tea here.
Beautiful afternoon tea in the Lace Market Hotel Served beautifully with an abundance of goodies! Discreet service provided by Carl who couldn’t do enough for us The Chef Christina came to check if everything was ok. Mentioned my husband has an intolerance to bananas ( one of the delights was a mini banoffee pie!) We hadn’t let the hotel know on booking…. She immediately went to the kitchen and delivered an alternative! Nothing seemed too much trouble and we will definitely be visiting again
I went for processco afternoon tea with my boyfriend, he is dairy free! It was amazing! They made sure he had the same amount as me and was no stingy with the processco! The only thing I would change is the dairy free options were 2 x egg, maybe a vegan cheese would be nice! Christina the chef came to speak to us to make sure everything was ok and was lovely! Carl who greeted us was also lovely and very welcoming! Would 100% recommend 5 stars ⭐️
Went for afternoon tea with prosecco....the food selection was very good and delicious. The chef Carl - Christina came to our table and talked us through the food and cakes which was nice. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend it and look forward to visiting again soon.
Very friendly and attentive staff for our afternoon tea. My stepdaughters and I really enjoyed the variety on offer and the attention to detail in the plating. Chef Christina was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We were left feeling spoilt and happy.
We had the loveliest afternoon tea at the lace market hotel! Carl was so friendly and welcoming and so considerate of both of mine and my mums nut allergy’s. Cristina the chef was so attentive and came to check on us a couple of times to see if we were happy and ok with everything! The scones were perfect and the best we ever had, Thank you for such a lovely experience!
