This is a delightful large traditonal style Cotswold cottage in a delightful small Cotswold village a few minutes drive from Burford. So it is well placed to reach of all those places in the Cotwolds which one might want to visit. The whole house is elegantly furnished and our king-sized bderoom was large and comfortable with an excellent large shower... More

This was our second stay at Box Tree Cottage and was just as perfect as our first stay. We were welcomed with tea and scones and shown to our beautiful room which was spotlessly clean and luxuriously appointed with crisp linen, fluffy towels and fresh milk. Caroline and Richard are very friendly hosts and breakfast was of a very high... More

Our family of three adults stayed with Caroline and Richard for three nights. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable and immaculately presented. The breakfasts were first class with fruit, cereal and a full English with bacon, eggs etc. Taynton is a delightful hamlet, very quiet with little through traffic and only a mile and a half from the bustle and... For our first visit to the Cotswold my husband and I leaned toward a stay at a hotel/pub/dining establishment. But glad we chose this small village cottage instead. Quiet nice sleep in a comfortable bed easily accomodating two. Spacious room and en suite bath/shower accomodated our traveling bags and toiletries. This was another concern I had in the older hotels;... More

I took my mother to the Cotswolds for a few days. We stayed at this delightful Bed and Breakfast. The house is so elegant and there are arrangements of fresh flowers everywhere. The garden is a beauty. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. We loved the breakfast with fresh fruit salad, rhubarb and plums compote. And the cooked breakfast was... More

Arrived a little earlier than arranged ,but this was no problem Caroline was very welcoming and we were soon settled in and were given tea and scones in the lounge. The cottage and garden are beautiful and have an array of lovely plants and shrubs. Our room was immaculately clean with plenty of storage... More

My wife and I stayed three nights at Box Tree Cottage as a base to see the Cotswolds and Oxford as part of an extended driving tour of Great Britain. The Cottage is located in the tiny village of Taynton, just a few minutes drive from the larger town of Burford. Our room was clean, large and comfortable, as was... More

We have stayed with Caroline twice, this time in early May. Her home is beautiful and the rooms are very clean, bright and well appointed. The in-suite bathrooms are large and very nice. The Cottage located in Taynton is a beautiful and quiet village setting away from the busy, touristy Burford. She has a beautiful garden and off street parking.... More

Our 4 day stay in April was a perfect culmination to a wonderful driving trip through English Midlands before tackling the bustle of London. Home is as depicted in photos...garden, decor, breakfast all excellent. Our only disappointment was the " King" sized bed was barely a Queen by North American/European standards. However, we found this to be an issue elsewhere... More
