Amazing place , amazing food , amazing staff... We went today to the red lion hotel for Sunday lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by lovely reception lady ( Sanisha) and lovely lady who was in a charge of the restaurant (Rodica). During the lunch we were well looked after by 4...

Beautiful Town and setting. I was ready for a fun weekend away at a friends wedding. Had loaded up the playlist with as much Weeknd, Barry White and R&B as I could find. I even threw in some Donna Summer to open with. My weekend was going to be absolute Boom Chicka Boom! However....it was totally 'Ted Bundyed' by this...

We thought we were lucky when the hotel said that they could take a booking for about 20 rooms with only 48 hours notice (the hotel we chose had to cancel at short notice) and we wondered why. We found out at breakfast time. First there were no cereal bowls, then no eggs. Eggs arrived, but no plates, and the...

Close to Oxford and London, the Cotswold's and great black and white houses in small villages. Breakfast is a good English Breakfast, yes, there is parking!! It has personality and friendliness as well as walkable to the train station and an hour or so to London!!!!

Brought my friend for afternoon tea for her birthday. The room we where brought into was lovely and quaint. We where served prosecco on arrival and given a second glass free of charge. Tea and coffee where offered with our cakes and sandwiches. Unfortunately I found most of the cakes far too sweet and the sandwiches could have been nicer/more...

Having searched for dog-friendly accommodation before booking and then emailing to double check that our dog was definitely allowed to stay with us, the cold reception we got on arrival when we walked in was disheartening to say the least! Apparently dogs are not allowed in the main building, only the small outbuilding rooms and courtyard. It would help to...

The hotel is perfectly placed to visit Henley and take in the Thames Hotel is just verging on the tired side and could use a bit of a make over. Bar staff excellent but could use a larger bar One of the few places that have private parking which is a bonus in Henley Breakfast was ok. Only buffet available...

This is a very nice hotel over looking the river, The manager was very good at sorting out any little problems that you had. The staff are very friedley and helpful and the room was nice but this is a quaint hotel so things are old.

We choose Henley on Thames for our annual weekend reunion. I'd left it late to book somewhere and struggled to find a twin room in the whole of Henley, The Red Lion was the only hotel showing availability but I was reluctant to book, as quite a few of the reviews on The Red Lion did not read favourably. However...

We had our son's 4th birthday party at the Red Lion hotel and it was more than perfect! The event manager was so helpful in organising the event, with suggestions and accommodating all our requests, including one which we never expected to be done for us - we wanted a bike made out of fruit for the children. Vivienne only...
