Dear FHSStars, Thank you for taking the time to review Sandfield House. We're glad that you enjoyed the garden & the breakfasts and were happy with our location, too! For general information: the John Radcliffe & Manor Hospitals are less than t10 minutes away on foot. The Nuffield & Warneford Hospitals, as you say, are about a mile or so....

The Sandfield Guest House was cosy, warm and welcoming. Paul went out of his way to give me information about Oxford and to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. The breakfasts were lovely and the room very cosy. The bus stop was just across the road and it took only a few minutes to get into central Oxford. These buses...

After being put off by the expensive lodging in Oxford center, with comments from travelers of loud noise at night, we found we could stay in Headington at a much more reasonable cost. The Sandfield Guest House was very comfortable and quiet, even though right on a main road. We did not have a car, but as the owner had...

I come to Oxford regularly and feel so happy to have found such an excellent guest house. It is great value for money; my single bedroom was very comfortable and roomy and the bathroom across the corridor (exclusively for me) was spotless and large. Paul and Natalia are wonderful hosts - friendly, helpful and repectful. I sat in the garden...

Dear Anne H, It was lovely to see you return to Sandfield House & we appreciate your words. Thankfully the weather was glorious for your stay and it was great to get feedback over breakfast about the boat to Abingdon, too. Hope to see you soon (will your daughter be treading the boards once again?), Paul & Natalia

I have recently stayed at Sandfield Guesthouse for 5 nights in April 2012. This delightful B&B is in a great location, you are in walking distance to the local shops and restaurants and there are bustops just out the front with good connections to Oxford City and surrounding areas as well as London.I was travelling with a friend, our rooms...

The 4-spot car park out front involves crossing a pavement and bicycle path, so take care when entering/leaving the premises. The owner (Paul) greeted me warmly, showed me around the amenities: the dining room for breakfast, door out into their well-kept back garden, stair panic button for night emergencies, etc. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV, lamp, clock radio...

Dear PreacherKane, Thank you ever so much for writing such a comprehensive, detailed... and positive(!)... review. We both love Oxford and are always keen to help people enjoy the more famous "attractions" as well as to discover places we consider to be somewhat part of "hidden Oxford". As keen travellers ourselves, we believe that a focus on customer service is...

My friend and I rented the two rooms on the top floor which shared a private bathroom. It was a perfect set-up for us, had the floor to ourselves and the privacy of our own rooms.
