We stayed at the Old Bank Hotel for a short city break from work. The hotel is in a fantastic location in Oxford surrounded by many of the prettier university colleges and within easy walking distance of many restaurants and shops. What most impressed me about the hotel was the friendliness and proficiency of the staff, they seem to enjoy...

Pure luxury ... staff incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly. As our stay was for a special anniversary, we were upgraded and treated to a bottle of champagne.A superb room, with lovely bow windows and views across to Merton College. Breakfast and dinner delicious and beautifully presented. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Oxford - this is on a par with the...

We spent three nights at the Old Bank and would have loved to stay longer. The staff was excellent, starting with Jessica at the front desk, and including everyone we encountered. When we had a quick break for lunch between excursions, everyone went out of their way in the restaurant to accommodate us without making us feel rushed. The breakfasts...

Thank you for your review Glad to hear you enjoyed. Perhaps take the bikes next time to explore the wider area, or a leisurely peddle around the sights. Ben Truesdale

We spend well over 100 nights a year in hotels and never have we come across such helpful staff at the front desk or delightful waiters and waitresses in the restaurant. Our need for a doctor was followed up immediately and we were constantly being asked over our three-day stay how we were following his visit and whether there was...

My wife and I had a short break in Oxford earlier in June to celebrate a birthday and selected this hotel on the basis of reviews in TripAdvisor. And we were not disappointed! Excellent service from all the hotel staff, a very comfortable room with views of the dreaming spires over the rooftops, and no problems with car parking, even...

This is a great hotel. We stayed here for one night and were knocked out by how helpful and friendly the staff were. It is perfectly located in the middle of Oxford with most sites within walking distance of the hotel. The walking tour organised by the hotel is also worthwhile and gives you a better sense of where everything...

Thanks for your review Glad to hear you enjoyed the hotel and the tour. It's quite worth taking the bikes along the river too. Perhaps next time. So sorry the room was a little hot. See you next time. Ben Truesdale

The staff really can't do enough for you. The complimentary tour of Oxford with Isabella was excellent. There is a restaurant/bar that is attached to the hotel with a lovely courtyard but also a private library for hotel guests only with complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits that is available until 2am. The breakfast is served in the Quod restaurant which...

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Thanks to Karen Brown's review we were able to find the difficult parking too. Everyone was most gracious and made us feel so welcome. We would recommend half board since the food is excellent too. The location is walk to everything. Higher floors enable you to see the spires and overview of...

A really well located hotel in the centre of Oxford - very handy for all attractions. They even run a free walking tour of Oxford - which was excellent. Breakfast in hotel was really good. Finding the hotel was a real issue - I think I may have driven through a "no go zone" and then arrived at a rising...

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the hotel. So sorry to hear you had some problems getting to the hotel. I always suggest pre-planning your route as there is a rather annoying traffic restriction on the high street. This time of year is high season but there are more favorable rates earlier in the year. See you next...
