Very good attentive staff from the reception to the housekeeping, nothing was too much trouble. Had a table cleared especially so we could go down and have tea and biscuits down stairs rather than in the room. Lovely power shower and robes. Large queue at checkout but we had arranged to just have an express checkout Didn't get an opportunity...

Iconic bar in old style setting within the Macdonald Randolph hotel, which has been developed as a theme bar commemorating Colin Dexter's Morse detective character. I had a pint of West's Str Mungo's (£5.00 a pint) which was excellent although I was left wondering why they couldn't source a beer just as good from the local area rather than bring...

Booked this at the last minute via hotel chain's telephone booking and got better deal than Secret Escapes. We arrived very early and left our car (valet parking at £28.50 is a bit steep). We were told to return at 1pm when our room would be available. We did. It wasn't. We would have been happy to return at check...

This is a beautiful building located in the perfect spot from which you can explore Oxford. A short 10 minute walk from the train station. Unfortunately our first interaction was the over run and unprofessional porter & concierge who between them were so inept that we struggled to enter the premises. Checkin staff were great, as was our Executive room....

We arrived late but lunch was still available, it was 2pm. We ordered 2 Barnsley lamb chops, 1 Sea bass and 1 Fish pie. The service was very good with polite staff. We all enjoyed our meals and eventually left at 4pm, a long late lunch.

Booked this hotel through secret escapes, but then found it cheaper on Expedia... We had an upgrade to an executive room which was very nice and roomy with a very comfortable Queen size bed. The Executive lounge was a nice touch with complementary snacks & drinks. (although for two days the coffee machine was not working but a member of...

Starters fine a tad expensive for what they were.Main Course awful Halibut over cooked Salmon cold. Not charged (I should think not), only 4 tables occupied in restaurant I wonder why. Manager and staff excellent, chef ? how could he send out food like that when under no pressure from a busy dining room. First experience not trying again.

A most attractive hotel right in the centre of Oxford, and near to all attractions. Excellent service from the concierge to the front desk, room staff and restaurant. It was very convenient to be able to leave the car to be parked for us, and even though the charge is not cheap (£28) it is comparable with 24 hours in...

Adore this hotel. From the location (right in the centre of Oxford Uni) to the impeccable detailing, to the Molton Brown bathroom products -- this was one of my favourite hotel experiences. Charming staff, a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful dining hall, and a grand entrance. Love it.

I had not been back to the Randolph for years but returned to have lunch with an old friend. What a fantastic afternoon. From the word go when Shaun in the sales office took my reservation, right up to the delectable rip roaring honeycomb parfait ending, if was a decadent experience all round. The food was fresh, tasty and served...
