Located near the rail station. Lots of history and character. The room was quiet, despite other posts stating otherwise. Noticed there were a second set of windows installed that kept out the noise. Had to carry bags to our room, but not a big deal.

The location is ideal for the Said Business School and for seeing Oxford. The room was clean and very comfortable. A fine accommodation. While the breakfast may be too large and too expensive for those who prefer a roll and coffee to start the day, there are shops closeby. Robert Perkins

Check in staff were polite and helpful. Carried my bag up to the second floor (no lift). Room 203 was quiet, at the back of the hotel. The view wasn't up to much, air conditioners and industrial ducting, but there was very little traffic noise. The room was quite stuffy and airless. I had to have the air con on...

Whilst we find the location of the hotel to be very good and the room itself to be spacious, comfortable and with good aircon and bathroom, what really struck us was the incredible approach to service - efficient, eager to please without being obsequious, anticipating our needs and making excellent suggestions - right from the first words uttered by reception,...

Stayed here for 2 nights and have to agree with recent reviews. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The location is great for the bus and train stations. It is on the edge of the main town but there are numerous restaurants within 3 minutes walk (George's street, where the bus station is). The shopping areas are less than...

This was my fourth time to stay in the Royal Oxford. This time we had a large group of people over for a family wedding. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Could not have asked for better service. The hotel is in a perfect location walking distance to town and one minute walk to train station. Thank you.

The hotel is very clean and exceeds it's 3 stars in several ways. The complimentary fruit was a lovely surprise. The breakfast is delicious and vastly superior to most hotel experiences. The central location is excellent for a city break in Oxford. The staff are wonderful and worth 6 stars! They are very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful and would...

Clean room. Friendly staff. Complimentary fresh fruit in the room. Very close to the train and coach stations. Short walk to the city centre. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel which serves authentic Korean food.

Good stay, very helpful pleasant staff, good clean room - a little dark as I had requested quiet room at the back so not much of a view. However, heatwave whilst there, so glad of dark room and excellent controllable aircon. Staff had kindly put it on before my return in the evening - bliss after the over heated Oxford...
