What this place used to be eludes me, although it could very well be where people were taken to be tortured by down-at-the-heels mafiosos and left to die. Whoever runs Oxford Backpackers has not done anything further than repurpose the place. Once I had been let in without entering the code by another guest, my climb up the stairs was...

Loved this place! The staff were all exceptional; so helpful, friendly, and really got stuck in too. It wasn't like one of those cliquey hostels where people working there only hang out with each other, which was really nice. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and bar were all perfect, no complaints whatsoever. Ooooo and that Frankie.. Wow she's a babe!

poor service staff, dirty bedding on the floor of the entrance to the night, crumbs in the living room, comfortable rooms but very very small, poorly maintained bathrooms. They were painting the stairs so here there were towels on the floor old drops and a strong smell of paint .... wrong wrong wrong. 4/10

Recently visited the Central Oxford Backpackers Hostel and it is one mistake I shall never make again and I would urge fellow travellers to avoid it any and all costs! Just because it's a cheaper way to have so.ewhere to stay doesn't give the owners and staff the right to expect their customers.to accept the abysmal hygiene standards (or lack...

I arrived without accommodation and quickly found the hotels in Oxford are very expensive. This place is absolutely perfect if you just need a bed and a shower each day. It was a while since I had stayed in a backpackers but everyone, staff and customers could not have been nicer. The free breakfast was toast, cereal or fresh pancakes....

Okay, so this place it's quiet at night in the dorms, it has a kitchen, a bar, a pool, large sofas, massive TV, and there's a party every night! I absolutely loved this place and have stayed for two weeks. MAde many many friends during my stay. The only thing I liked more at Central backpackers was the singular showers....

I stayed here for 3 nights. It's a great and friendly place to stay. It's clean and comfortable and an easy place to meet other travellers. The bathrooms are standard for a hostel . The kitchen could do with another fridge but no issues otherwise.

I feel this Hostel gets a bad wrap, it's actually really good. Wifi works well from the lounge area, location is great, showers are great cleaned everyday, beds tipical hostel bed! Yes the heating is an issue but to be fair the UK was having a very rare heat wave. Reading other reviews people mention a strange smell in some...
