From the moment we arrived, the staff and service were excellent. We were able to check in early & were upgraded to a suite - room 209. A beautiful room with a balcony overlooking fields with horses. The bed was enormous & very comfortable. After an afternoon & evening in the city, just a 20 minute stroll away either along...

Sorry it's taken a couple of weeks to get round to this, but now I can make up for it..... Dec. 27th was my 70th. birthday, and as we used to live in Oxford and now live in Aberdeenshire, they decided that as all the other family members were still 'dahn saf', Oxford was where the party was going to...

This is a fairly modern hotel on the Abingdon Road, about 15min walk from the city centre. If you are in the city centre go to Christchurch College front entrance and walk along the road – it is a flat, easy walk and the hotel is on the same side of the road ie on the left as you are...

Stayed here for one night while attending a conference. Very comfortable room, with a nice view across meadows. Nice clean bathroom. Breakfast and the other meals were good. Plentiful car parking and easy access from the motorway without having to go into town. Short walk into the city centre. Would recommend highly.

Stayed here unplanned on a Tuesday night. Upgraded to a deluxe room on check in which was a bigger room with a few extras. Think it was worth it, the corridor where the standard rooms were looked a bit tired and dated. Communal areas modern and very well kept. Can walk into town in about 10 mins or so either...

Dear emscot, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. It is great to hear such positive feedback. I agree location is a huge advantage to the hotel, and as you say our deluxe rooms offer a more modern, larger bedroom with extra amenities. I do hope we can look forward to welcoming you back in...

We stayed at the hotel as part of New Year's celebrations, and had a wonderful time. Since my last visit to Oxford Spires, around two years ago, the Hotel has undergone significant updating, and now boasts a very elegantly decorated lobby. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the touch of being personally shown to our breakfast...

The hotel is a short walk (approx. 15 minutes) from the city centre or just 5 minutes by bus (which pass by frequently). The walk to the city centre along the Thames is especially nice and picturesque. Although I did not arrive by car, there were many cars in the hotel car-park, and I imagine this is one of the...

Dear citeradieuse, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I agree the location of the hotel is great, set back against the water meadows and horse meadows but only a 15 minute walk into historic Oxford. The hotel has received great investment over the past 6 months, which has seen a full refurbishment of public areas and...

Lovely recently refurbished room with good facilities. Accommodating staff called a taxi for us and were extremely friendly and pleasant. Very good buffet style breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon etc.

I stayed at the Oxford Spires Hotel in December, part business, part pleasure. Very cozy rooms, very clean, excellent service. I had a business meeting on Monday morning and was preparing to iron a shirt, the iron was leaking so I called housekeeping and within five minutes somebody was at the door with a replacement iron. Was much appreciated. My...

Oxford Spires has long corridors that seem to separate rooms and gave the feeling if isolation. There were few other guests near us that meant for a quiet stay. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. Free wifi was quick to connect to, and accessible in my room, the bar and the restaurant. Oxford Spires is a 20 minute...

Dear Craig W, Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The hotel is a large property that was designed to complement the original use of the land which was farm buildings. Our quieter rooms are further from reception and benefit from views over the water meadows and...
