The hotel has very little to set it apart from the swathe of mid market hotels of its type - it seems set up for business and strives to be inoffensive, clean and functional. In so doing it allows itself no charm or character. That said there was nothing to complain about. Room clean and large, breakfast excellent. Would recommend...

We do offer room only or bed and breakfast rates and having recently elaborated on our breakfast offering we do feel it is very good value for money. I look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Good hotel for conferences and meetings. Rooms are spacey and clean, and with a properly working wifi. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Location is pretty good. Close to the Thames, allowing you to walk along the river to the city center, which is preferable as the streets outside the hotel's premises are not very interesting.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay with us. We are in a fantastic location and I agree the river walk is a beautiful way to enter our city. We do have a wide variety of bedrooms from our 16th century farmhouse to the latest on trend modern accommodation - something for everyone. I...

The Spires Hotel is only half a mile or so from Oxford City Centre, about 15 minutes stroll along the river, which is very pleasant. There's plenty of parking, rooms are more than adequate, reasonable size, very comfortable, nice bathroom with toiletries, and very well equipped with a safe, ironing board, iron, trouser press, tea and coffee making facility, sofa,...

Stayed at this hotel recently for business. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Oxford town centre in a nice, countryside-feel location. Firstly, the reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, sorted our rooms out at check in and filled us in on all the relevant details about the hotel. The room was a standard double and it...

We stayed at the Oxford Spires arriving Sept 11 until Sept 14 2015. The website speaks for itself as to the beautiful grounds and buildings. We were given a room in a lovely cottage upon arrival. These settings mask several deeper shoddy issues: The cost was way to much for the room we got, just a 2 star price would...

Thank you for taking the time to wirte a review of your stay with us at Oxford Spires. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay in Eastwyke House our 15th century farmhouse - it is a listed building and therefore we are restricted as to what we are able to do and i am sure if you...

I stayed here for my anneversary (my partner and I went to Uni in Oxford so what better way to celebrate). I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and close enough to the Head of the River to be happy. Not such a great location for shopping or nighlife as its quite a walk into the Cornmarket. Overall...

Welcomed into hotel by lovely chap - asked if I had been before and where I would like to stay within the hotel. I went to my room - they are pretty low standard and dated especially give the room rate. I went for a swim - the pool is nice. I then went to the steam room and quite...

I organised the weekend event here. The planning took 12 months in total and culminated in 80 people attending (some with dietary requirements and special accommodation). The weekend consisted of dinner in the restaurant on the Friday night, accommodation for two nights, a Gala dinner (four courses) on the Saturday and the usual breakfast for Saturday and Sunday mornings. The...

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel is ideally situated for Oxford city centre, just a 5 minute walk along the Thames and you are in the city. Good hotel, its in a lovely location that you can walk along the river to the city centre or just in a cheap cab ride, a bit on the expensive side ..... Service was good, had a Superior room overlooking horse fields at the back ... Lovely.
