Tremendous place. Modern, very well appointed, clean, tidy, and excellently located in the town centre a short walk from the train station. Impressive room facilities including coffe/tea making facilities, complimentary bottled water, TV and free wifi. Bed very comfy. Shower hot, strong and with free toiletries. Air con as well. Service very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not included but George...

This hotel doesn't represent value for money. When we return to Oxford, we will stay a little further out and taxi in (still less expensive). We had the constant drone of what we assumed were extractor fans from Jamie's restaurant downstairs. My wife and I found the bed to be uncomfortable and couple with the noise made for a restless...

I find it hard to believe that this hotel has anything like a four star rating! Yes it is central and a good place to see Oxford from if you are walking but that is pretty much all it has going for it. The hotel "reception" is at the top of a flight of stairs just off George Street. When...

I enjoyed staying at this hotel particularly because of its great location. The hotel itself is very small (only ten rooms) and doesn't have many amenities but that's ok. Fairly compact but pleasant rooms.

I get it, it not the most luxurious or prestigious in Oxford, but it is right where you need to be, within striking distance of all the shops, attractions and colleges. The room was clean and comfortable, apart from my pillow, which felt like a bag of wet sand. (Perhaps the hotel could consider new pillows?). I think the price...

Unfortunately, I thought I was booking myself and daughter into a boutique hotel - this is anything but. Grossly over-priced for what they are offering. I mistakenly thought the high room rate indicated an upmarket room. I should have read the reviews more carefully - I don't understand how they are getting good ones.

We chose the Bocardo because of its central location, and it was. It had a hostel-like entrance. Reception on first floor accessible only by stairs. Reception wasn't particularly friendly. Room size was OK. Bathroom was small and a noisy pump shot in action each time we used water. Early morning street activity was very noisy. We paid £115 plus an...

four star hotel then you wont be disappointed. it was clean, the staff were friendly and to be honest i didnt see the fuss with the steps. as i have stayed in grandeur hotels that have more stairs to climb. the reason for booking was the central situation of the hotel. close to many well known restaurant chains and individual...
