If you choose to stay in very reasonable price with clean and modern accomodation yes it is the place. In Oxford for backpacker YHA is the best. The room is very secure and inside the room they have own bath room and toilet instead of the toilet and bathroom outside. The Lobby itself big and comfortable and they have 24...

Cheers for posting a great review with lots of useful tips for future visitors - this is much appreciated. We're pleased to see that we met your needs in Oxford and hope that you had a brilliant time in the city. We use YHA's around the country on any off site activities minimum 3 per year. Good valve, great accommodation, students can get internet which keeps them happy and helpful staff. When you know what your going to get, why go anywhere else.

Thank you so much for a 5-out-of-5 review of the hostel. We work hard both here at Oxford and throughout our whole organisation to ensure that we offer the best accommodation and facilities for student groups and all our other guests. It's really rewarding when we get good feedback. We'll look forward to your next hostel visit.

It's just a hostel for a night. The place is correct (near the railway station), at ten minutes to the center of the city. It was clean, tidy and with free wifi. The recepcionists were nice and helps us in our day in Oxford and how to travel to other cities.

Thank you for your review of the hostel - good to read that you found us clean and tidy, helpful and conveniently located. We like to think that we're just as suited to a stay of a few nights and longer, not just for the one night! There's plenty to explore in Oxford and the surrounding area - hopefully you'll...

I stayed in one of the 6-bed rooms for two nights. The room and bath were very clean and comfortable, the lounge was also very nice. The breakfast was very agreeable as well and the staff was very helpful. I really can't think of anything negative to say about it.

Stayed at this hostel a couple of times now and its still the best so far. Very neat and close to the train station which happens to be next to the city center and bus station. There is a bar opposite which doubles as a top Chinese restaurant with every budget accommodated trust me. A walk to the city center...

Good facilities and spacious dorms. Shower was blocked, leading to an interesting fragrance. And I could only get wifi in the library. Would stay again though. Liked the individual charging ports and lights by each bunk.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your stay in the hostel. It's great to read that you found the dorms spacious and our facilities good. The hostel is well situated, close to the raillway and bus stations and a 10 minute walk into the centre of Oxford. The rooms are basic, however, serve their purpose. A great value buffet breakfast, hot and cold. The reception area is pleasant with a small bar and serves snacks and various drinks. The staff were very pleasant. No parking,...

We all heard about this fabled city, set amid the rolling hills nearby... to stir our curiosity and our hopes... This small town is fully pedestrianized, encouraging us to walk everywhere and view the old colleges, tea-shops and meadows. Many of the colleges have walled gardens and enclosed lawns for the 'Fellows' -- as exclusive domains. But you can still...

This hostel ticks all the boxes - close to Oxford station, clean, warm and the rooms are fairly spacious WITH ENSUITES! YAY! The kitchen is a nice size and there is a restaurant available so you can by dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price. Being right near the station does mean the trains are quite loud when they go...

I stayed for 2 nights at this great value youth hostel. The location is superb if you want to be central.
