Charming building with a quiet courtyard. Room was ok. All staff were friendly and helpful without being too amicable. Classical music in the breakfast room was a very pleasant change from the usual radio stuff. A few minor drawbacks that come with the age of the building: noises from neighbours and piping, but not too bad though. Shower could have... More

Just a quick review to say thank you really to the staff at the Cotswold Lodge Hotel for arranging such a lovely afternoon tea for us. There were 15 of us and we had a room all to ourselves with the tables thoughtfully arranged in a square so that we could all see eachother and were able to talk to... More

Had to make a quick decision on accommodation in Oxford and was surprised how far out we had to stay to find a hotel with a reasonable price. This HOTEL was great in price/ location and friendly service. the Restaurant meal was delightful as was breakfast. Hotel staff called us a taxi which was only 5 pound to city centre... More

Last minute decision to stay here. The welcome was warm and the staff were friendly. We ate out in the evening and this hotel was within an easy walking distance of our chosen restaurant. Easy walk into central Oxford. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend as a place to stay.

I stayed here in mid March for 5 days. It was good to be back here after couple of years. The main advantage is its proximity to Oxford City Centre. It is also well connected by Bus Services and the bus stop is in a walking distance of 2 mins. Couple of aspects that disappointed me: 1. Despite keeping the... More

Stayed again after a gap of 2 years and had the same room and enjoyed it just as much as before. Lovely meal on the Friday night. All staff very friendly and lovely big room. (Somerville). I had been using the cafe area to do some work for my graduate degree. I always made sure to order coffee, lunch, food, water etc. Then today, the manager came up to me and told me that he had been calculating the amount of time I spent here and the amount I was spending and that I was taking... It is disappointing when people such as yourself take the time to post inaccurate and untrue comments on this un-vetted site. Last week you sat in our bar area, using our complimentary Wi-Fi, drinking coffee out of a paper cup that you had bought elsewhere. When asked not to do so, you gave a lecture on how much money you... More

Stayed for two nights in room 7. Front room on the ground floor, very quiet even though facing the road. Very large room and bathroom. Lovely hot water and good toiletries. All the staff we met were very friendly. Good cooked breakfast each morning. Free off road parking as well.
