Room lovely - we'd been upgraded to a half tester bed. Bizarrely it had two cushions shaped into cones in the middle of the bed, which made us giggle! Reception staff were efficient and good at finding us taxis. The bar star were helpful if a bit lacking in polish. Breakfast was something else! Only one member of staff on...

This hotel is in a lovely old house in a great location about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Oxford. There is a lovely lounge area and a verandah with table and chairs. In terms of facilities, we were not impressed with our room which was small, too hot (as it was warm and there was no air conditioning)...

My wife and I stayed at Cotswold while our daughter was studying here this summer. A brief summary: The outside of the hotel is lovely. The inside is getting tired. The young lady who was working the front desk when we arrived was not very knowledgeable about the hotel and was devoid of any rational thought relating to potential nearby...

My husband and I were in Oxford for a wedding. The hotel was wonderful. The service (Clive especially) were attentive and accommodating. We did not have reservations for the second night and Clive went above and beyond getting us a room. You have to stay in this beautiful, centrally located hotel while visiting Oxford.

Although it's a nice hotel, it's overpriced for what you get. I checked in on Saturday and was told I had been 'upgraded' to the Exeter which was a nice surprise. Through the night however a water overflow outside the window was constantly dripping and running which woke me up several time. In the morning when I told the chap...

Have stayed here on numerous occasions over the last year whilst working in Oxford and rate it as one of the best hotels in the area for the money. Although edging towards the more expensive end of the scale, the location is ideal, short walk into town, parking is free and the hotel staff are (90% of the time) extremely...

Our stay was very relaxing, the room was lovely with a huge comfortable bed. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We certainly felt looked after. The food was a little disappointing unfortunately, which was a shame because everything else was perfect. The toast at breakfast always came without butter, but was soon brought when asked for....

This is a comfortable hotel, well run and nicely decorated. The rooms are a good size and the clean. The restaurant serves imaginative food at dinner and the breakfast is wide in choice, offering such delights as Eggs Benedict, Florentine or Royale. Well worth a visit.

Stayed 1 night. Room was adequate in size, but oldish. Bed was so awful, we could not sleep. Parking was free, but breakfast was 10 pounds each and not especially good. Lovely old manor located in the city about 15 minute walk to center of the action. Also a bus stop near hotel. Oxford was fascinating-take a city bus tour...
