I recently met with some friends for a casual drink, after hearing this place was under new ownership I was intrigued to find out what was going on. The staff where fantastic and where very accommodating to me and my friends, it's defiantly a place I will be going back to.

The bitter was not well kept and tasted insipid so l switched to the draft cider. No better. Main complaint was the price however. Around the town pubs in Oxford and for well kept beer, two pints is normally around £7.50. Kite charged £9.00. Won't be going back.

So, I booked a room here through hotels.com and when I arrived, the hotel and pub was closed and locked. Long story short, they closed for 3 weeks due to renovations or management issues. Eventhough I had booke my room and paid in advance, I didn't receive any notification that they were closing, there wasn't even a sign on the...

Booked this shack for a Saturday night in Oxford with my girlfriends. Oh my, we've all travelled around the world but this hotel is one if the worst ever. Filthy, old, dilapidated... a health hazard. The shared toilet, flush doesn't work, no loo roll. Disgusting! Shower. We used wet wipes to wash as was convinced you'd get more dirty having...

First tings first: The crew at the Pub was nice and helpfull guys. But what made importance to us: This is almost the dirtiest place I've lived in since last visited Congo, and at that was a job I was paid for. This experience spoiled almost the whole visit. Never stop here.

It's dirty and full of flies. The shared bathroom is awful, and you have to eat the poorly breakfast in your room. A hostel would be better... At least the room is big (but you can hear your neighboors very well...) The stairs are so dirty that you shoes stick to them.

Filthy carpets throughout. Mouldy bathroom with dirty flooring so bad we didn't want to use shower. Toilet in shared bathroom (for more than 3 bedrooms) Continental breakfast unappetising left out all night. No fresh tea or coffee. Basic hygiene appalling. No fire door between kitchen and stairway up to rooms. Sash window broken. No remote for TV. "Clean" mugs stuck...

When I arrived at the kite inn, things seemed pleasant enough. The bar was clean and tidy and the place had a comforting and professional atmosphere. Then, as I was lead through the beer garden, past the drunk old man sitting by himself, and towards a small door near the bins, my trip became a nightmare. As I climbed the...

A very good beer range and easy to get to from the station. It did feel a little tatty and the bar staff appeared disinterested. It has a small outside seating area .... Will give it another try on our next visit to Oxford ...

The inn has no air-condition and is kind of old. However, the location was nice and it's cheap anyway. If you just want to get a stay somewhere a night before moving to other places. It should be fine. However, if you are looking for a decent hotel, it is not though.
