We simply adored this hotel. Both the male and female receptionists were friendly and helpful (unfortunately, I missed their names). The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was warm. Also, the location was right in the middle of everything, but our room was

Stayed here for one night in the Sir John Vanburgh suite in November 2018 . Felt it was overpriced . The lady on reception was abrupt . Breakfast was fine. We stayed in Oxford to visit a relative so the central location was an important factor . However we had to leave the car

We were in Oxford in August 2018 for 5 days and stayed at this lovely boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Oxford. Close to everything that we wanted, our stay at Vanbrugh House was everything we had hoped it would be.

Nice big room, electrics were a bit hard too work out and the lights were dim. We never did work out how to turn on one of the sidelights, and never did work out how we turned the other one on! Floorboards were a bit squeaky too. But everything else was great for our one night

Is there laundry service on site and anyone know the costs?
I don't remember offhand - we didn't need laundry done at this point in our trip. I doubt that a hotel this small would offer laundry services themselves, but I am confident they would be able to accommodate you somehow.

Is there parking available
Hi Nyxtian, Thank you for your question. Having such a central location in the very heart of Oxford, we have no car park at the hotel. However, there is Worcester Street car park only a few minutes walk away. We are also close to all major road and rail links. We hope to see you at Vanbrugh House Hotel in the future. Kind regards David Robinson General manager

Hi Margaret, Thank you for getting in touch. At this present time we have not got air conditioning at Vanbrugh House due to restrictions in regards to being a listed property. We do however provide fans in the rooms for the warmer months. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to ask. Kind regards David Robinson General Manager
