Got a Groupon deal for afternoon tea here - £25 for 2 instead of £36 - Nice enough hotel if a little shabby in places. Was OK value for £25 bit certainly not worth the £36(plus 10%service charge = almost£40!). Good selection of teas nice scones and cakes but sandwiches although lovely and fresh were dolls house size! Don't go...

The service matched the food. Poor. We had a travelzoo voucher they wouldn't accept although we phoned up and enquired about it the week before. They made it a real negative experience. When asked for what tea they had? The smug waiter said "we got it all" (we were hoping for a menu) so we asked for Breakfast tea.. which...

It is a very nice and quaint hotel. But suffers from noise from passing people and traffic. All staff are very friendly and courteous. When we stayed there was only about 10 guests, so I would assume that it was a quiet time. The restaurant is very nice, but we seemed to have to wait an extraordinary long time between...

Stayed a couple of nights in a room with seriously wonky floor. So much so that I couldn't put a glass on the chest of drawers. The room had a v old school TV that had no radio facility and needed propping up so I could see it from the bed. The shower had been modernised and was powerful. In...

We stayed here after we had a Groupon deal. We arrived and the receptionist was so lovely. He took our bags and we got our tickets for Blenheim Place. (These were included in the deal; I would not have paid for these separately as these were £25 a ticket!!) The Palace was only 10 minute walk away once you go...

We had a package deal staying one night with dinner for two plus complimentary gin and tonic and then a ticket to visit Blenheim Palace next day. The staff were all extremely helpful, both when booking and on arrival. No tea and coffee making in the rooms, but these were just a quick phonecall away and arrived without delay. A...

Stayed overnight on a short trip as son had an audition at nearby Oxford drama school. Lovely cosy warm hotel in a lovely quaint town. Nice welcoming feel to the whole hotel. Didn't try the food in the restaurant but the food in the pub next door was great for what we wanted. Wish we could have stayed longer

Popped in en-route to Stratford-upon-Avon for a snack lunch. We had the fish finger sandwich and steak sandwich. Both were excellent quality and very hot and tasty. Good atmosphere with roaring fire and comfortable seating.

As luck happened we found an unmissable deal here which include dinner and tickets for Blenheim palace. As we had the weekend in oxford managed to get a trip to the Bicester outlet village (far too much money spent) followed by an overnight stay here and tickets to Blenheim. Firstly the staff ( Excellent to say the least all of...

Booked this as treat on our way home from a weekend break. It was delicious superb surroundings and attentive staff. Couldn't pick 1 item as a favourite as they were all equally nice. Spoilt for choice with which tea to try with it.

Thank Glenn T
