The room was OK in that it was clean. However, it smelt of stale smoke or damp or a mixture of the two. There was a clue in that on the unmanned reception desk, there was a empty can of air freshener. We could not even open the window as the heating system was not working.

We booked in with a very helpful lady at the desk. When we got to our room it was freezing cold the radiator had broken. I went to reception and the lady said she would take a look. So we went out for dinner. When we returned the lady at reception said she had taken a look and it couldn't... More

We stayed for one night whilst on business and we needed a dog friendly hotel. We were shown to our room by a very friendly receptionist. The room was large and fully furnished with a very comfortable and clean bed. The shower was poweful and hot and there was a large t.v which functioned perfectly for a budget hotel. On... More

I am currently staying here with work, supporting a gentleman to attend Reading Festival. Considering many people must stay in this area over the festival period the price was excellent for 2 single rooms and breakfast for 2 nights!!! The staff are lovely and ever so helpful. The hotel is partnered with a larger sister hotel which is next door... More

We needed to spend a night in Reading due to a business trip and needed something not too expensive. Paid £70 for bed & breakfast, booked the day before. Travel lodge coming up at over £90! When we arrived the first impression of the room was not too bad but the windows were wide open and it was rather draughty.... More

To call this place a hotel is shocking, dirty bedding, shocking service from the manager, cold rooms, curtains hanging off, no water, plug sockets didn't work the list goes on! For it to be functioning as a hotel is disgraceful, refused to stay at the Lawb hotel and asked if the rooms were better at the 'sister' hotel and could... More

I stayed here for one night in October 2014. The room was very spacious but on inspection it wasnt very clean. There was never anyone on reception, there was just a note to say that if you needed assitance to knock on the room across from the reception desk which was abit strange, I pressume they live there. I didnt... More
