Ok, so i hadn't read any reviews before we booked and only read them on approach to the hotel, needless to say i became very worried! However once we got out of the unlit car park and into the entrance of the hotel it was warm and welcoming. The hotel could do with a cash injection for some modernisatio, even...

This place is disgusting. From dirty bed sheets to hair in bath. Dirty shower curtains and sink. Horrible smell also. Hotel manager not even bothered. Didn't end up staying there as this place is just shocking. Would avoid this place at all costs

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel was the helpful barman and well cooked breakfast,,, Other than that it's the Marie Celeste of hotels,,,one half has burnt down!!!! A soulless and depressing experience!

Booked late, and made a big mistake in not reading the reviews beforehand. Unlit car park, unmanned reception, no information on check in as to location of the room, facilities available or time the bar/restaurant was open until (as I arrived late), cold communal areas, light out in the room, poor TV, stained carpet, old furniture. How £89 (room only!!!)...

The hotel was booked through my company, thank god the stay was only one night. The bar and restaurant area was freezing with the only staff member serving having to keep their coat on, as did most of my colleagues. We asked the barman why there was no heating and he replied no idea and it had been like it...

I'm not fussy when it comes to hotels, however this place is shocking. Upon first impressions it seemed nice, however once in the building it is clear that it has lacked any financial input for a while. The bar area was absolutely freezing, and there were barely any guests present, whilst my room was absolutely boiling?! No wifi in the...

This hotel has suffered by fire damage and is in need of some money spent and is due for a total refurb which is a shame as this could be a charming hotel with some great views if it was kept clean and sufficient financial input

We stayed here on a national express coach trip, was no Christmas feel at all to the hotel food was bad but if it wasn't for the staff that tried to do there best in a run down hotel it would of been worse, it was really cold in the restaurant no other guests except for the coach party, hopefully I will...

I read a lot of reviews so had alot of hesitations. Me and my family came here with a national Holiday break (Bath & Oxford). Think the guests on this trip were the only ones here. We arrived late evening, grabbed our keys and went to the room, rooms were spacious, warm and everything seemed fine. We went down to...

I have been booked into this hotel as part of a coach trip and wish that I hadn't. I read the reviews and thought it can't be that bad, I was wrong. I signed in to get my key and the receptionist couldn't find my envelope even though I repeatedly spelt my name. I got my key and went to...
