We stayed for three nights and had a great stay. The location is great just outside Ludlow but close enough to walk to town if you want to explore or eat out. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food at both breakfast and especially for dinner was superb. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings. Nice, relaxing and restful. Restaurant menu was very good and not too formal. Breakfast was a nice relaxing experience and set us up for the 'trek' into Ludlow, which is in reality only a short stroll from the hotel. (taxis are available for the feint hearted) We stayed for our ruby wedding anniversary and enjoyed...

The Cliffe gets most of the important things right. Plenty of parking. A warm welcome. A comfortable bed. Quiet location. Good wifi. Good breakfast. Good housekeeping and big fluffy bathroom towels. Our room was on the third floor. We were offered help with our luggage but with or without luggage older people will find themselves breathless at the top of...

This was the most disappointing visit in decades. My problem - the kitchen air conditioning was right outside the bedroom window. I was treated to a continuous whirling growling sound for hours. This also acted as a free early morning wake up call but with no option over the timing. It is surprising that what can be endured on a...

we stayed for one night, with dinner in the restaurant, and can highly recommend the food, the wine and the service the staff were very helpful, making an effort to cater for a strict gluten free diet, toasting our our own roll and incorporating it into breakfast if ever in the area again, we will definitively return

My family and I booked the Cliffe for a Sunday Lunch. We have ate their previously and the food and service was excellent, so expected the same. We were not dissapointed by the food or the service with the staff being attentive and friendly. The Food was cooked well and the portion size for a Sunday Roast was to our...

Prior to booking, and having done a little bit of research, we knew where The Cliffe was situated. Therefore I would ask you to ignore a previous review about having to be "avid hikers" if you want to walk into the lovely market town of Ludlow. It's a lovely 10/15 stroll (albeit some of it uphill) over the river. The...

We, 3, arrived for a lunch booked for 12.30 pm on Saturday, at 12.30 pm. There was nobody at reception and no way of summoning anyone. Eventually we were seated at 12.45pm. Not a good start. We ordered mains and of course had to wait some time, when the sea bass came it looked very pretty but 3 pieces of...

Disappointing. No atmosphere today, we were virtually the only people there. The 2 staff, considering that, weren't that attentive. And too many little things weren't quite right. Flat coke. Twice. Too salty cod. The new vegetarian pie main course was so small, we laughed out loud. The high chair was filthy. Staff didn't exactly make us feel like sending flat...
