An ancient building with a variety of interesting and comfortable rooms. The restaurant contains two 400yr old tables and a host of serious antiques. A very nice enviroment. Very good food and very good staff. Central with parking.

Birthday, anniversary and got a babysitter!!! So booked a nights stay. Only 5 mins walk ( uphill ) from train station. They took our bags in early for safekeeping, which was great and made shopping easy. Check in was easy as they only have a few rooms. Stayed in the wool room which was the last room (to get to...

I booked this based on my previous experience which was a number of years ago and I wanted to show case it to my wife and members of her family. To say I was disappointed that would be an understatement, the food at best was no better than Pub Grub and the service was poor. The place has great potential...

Staff were friendly. Food was cold.. we had to send it back and still it was Luke warm ... small portions ... left hungry and disappointed !! We dined early so they weren't overly busy! For a fine dining establishment we expected so much more!

My husband and I stayed last weekend in the Wool room, it was wonderful the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us and communication before our stay was excellent. We booked a table for the night time and the food was truly excellent which surprised me, my husband and I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the...

Where do I start this place is just what I was looking for. Quirky boutique hotel with great staff and one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were helpful from start to finish, my cocktail held it's own against the best in London. My room although a little cluttered was tastefully decorated, the...

I love restaurants that have a bar for pre-meal drinks. I also love restaurants with atmosphere and those tables that have character...big, bold and with personalities of their own. 6 of us landed on a busy Saturday night and were given fantastic tables for pre drinks and for the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere buzzy and we...

Excellent central situation but no parking. Clean and attractive rooms. Disconcerting to find that there were no staff on the premises overnight. £100 but breakfast £15 per person extra. Our friend on the floor above had a very uncomfortable bed and hardly slept, ours was fine. Wi-fi was available but poor connection.

My husband and I had an over night stay in Shrewsbury and found this beautiful hotel. We were shown to the Teal room which was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the following morning we had what was amazing breakfast. Fresh berries and fruit, yogurt, cereal, followed by a bespoke English breakfast...
