My friend and I stayed one night in a city twin room on the Thermae Bath Spa Experience. We had a huge room with a really comfy double bed each and sparkling clean bathroom with big shower and bath. Thermae spa voucher was very easy to use and the hotel’s own spa facilities were brilliant. Breakfast included was perfect with continental buffet and full English as well. Very friendly staff. Incredible value for money and will be returning, I didn’t want to leave!

Stayed for one night over the weekend, staff were very helpful upon arrival and we were very satisfied that our room was available slightly early however the next morning the pool was closed without any communication or why or for how long which left a slightly lesser impression on us upon departure

Met up with friends at Apex and had a most enjoyable stay. Hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the City, the pool was a little on the small side but that didn't cause a problem as it was quiet. Breakfast was fine.

I was thinking of going out as a family around Bath. We planned to spend the night in a hotel, and I chose the APEX Hotel because I know the hotel and I have had a very good experience so far. We in were London, Edinburgh and Bath as well. Upon arrival we had a very friendly and kind welcome. We immediately got room. We were very happy. This is a real APEX greeting! When we opened the room door, I felt the dust smell. I am allergic to dust, so we checked the room, what is the problem. We found many cleaning issues… The room hadn't been cleaned in about half a year. Dusty walls and fixtures, dusty carpet and bathroom. One of the glasses was lipstick-stained or toothpaste stained, the kettle was dirty and there was water in it. One of the cushions was red speckled and one of the pillow-cover was full of tiny hairs. On the floor we found rubbish, a medicine tablet and a little doll. In the bathroom the mirror was dirty as well. We spoke immediately with the reception that our room is dirty. They sent us a maid from housekeeping, and we showed her the problems. She told us, no problem, she will clean it in about half-an hour. My wife is working in a housekeeping department, and we know this issue is cc. 2 hours job. We went to the city centre, and we came back after 3 hours. The room was still dirty. The glass was still dirty, the floor, walls were still dusty as well... One of the cushions was still red speckled, so it wasn't a successful cleaning job. We haven't even checked the beds ... We spoke again with reception, and we asked what happened because the cleaning job was unsuccessful. The maid came back again, and we ask her what her position in this hotel is. She told us she is a supervisor. My wife asked, “please check the bathroom like how a supervisor would because it has many problems”. The maid/supervisor said that she doesn’t like the way my wife was speaking to her, and she stormed out the room and slammed the door in our face. I ‘m sure that is not the APEX standard, this is not a customer friendly attitude. If I am working in the housekeeping, I try to clean this room correctly and responsible. I DON'T SLAM the door in the guests’ faces!!! We spoke with reception again and her showed us another room that was dusty as well. We needed to leave because they cannot provide a clean room. The receptionist told us that she’s very sorry, but they cannot help because our expectations is too high for them. A dust-free room? Clean water glasses? Clean and empty kettle? Clean pillow covers? Washed floor? There are too high expectations? In another Apex hotels these is the basic service. Receptionist told us the supervisor from housekeeping is a manager assistant in the department. I think the Apex Hotels a very good hotel everywhere, just this hotel in Bath has issues. We needed to leave because they couldn’t provide a clean room... We didn’t sleep in this hotel, so I am waiting for refund.

Very nice staff, clean rooms and very classy. Breakfast was very good as well. You need to order the hot food, it's buffet style, except for continental breakfast. Great location, easy to walk everywhere.
