Lovely stay at the Devonshire on a short break in Bath. Room clean and tidy but somewhat smaller than we exspected. This was not a problem as we used it purely as a base for our visit. Breakfast really good and cooked to order by Judith. Judith was also really helpful in telling us about the area, bus routes and...

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us and for your kind comments. Due to the age of the property, the room sizes are out of our control, so, much as we would love larger rooms we are defined (and benefit) by the character of the house. Best regards Louise

Lovely and comfortable room. The host is very thoughtful i.e. lotion, sweets and biscuits provided. We felt so cosy as if we are at home. Very organized breakfast system whereby we need to submit our choice the night before with form provided. Great breakfast with plenty of choices and the food is fresh! Thanks to Chris for sharing cooking tips....

Paid a very fleeting visit as we were busy at the university, but the hosts could not have been more helpful with a couple of issues we had (not to do with the guest house). Bedroom and bathroom were both comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very fresh, tasty and with a good choice. Lots of little extra touches...

We stayed in the beautiful cottage, very cute! Bed was comfortable and cottage spotless and very well equipped. Louise and Chris friendly and helpful, lots of great tips. I recommend the scenic walk into the city, through the park, stunning views from the top of the hill. Very steep hill to walk back up at the end of the day!...

What a wonderful experience. First time in an English B&B. Loved it. Warm, friendly, and accommodating proprietress. Clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast. Couldn't have been a better experience. Owner went out of her way to be helpful and nice.

We stayed at Devonshire House last weekend. From the first moment we arrived Louise made us feel very welcome. She was full of good ideas on where to visit during our stay in Bath and had leaflets on hand to help us make our decisions. Our room was clean and comfortable, not the biggest room we have stayed in but...

The bedroom was really comfortable and very well decorated in a quaint, old fashioned style. Breakfast was very good. The main plus point here though is the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, who clearly wanted my stay to be as comfortable as possible and did everything she could to make it so. The only downside was the fact that...

Hi Caroline Thanks for taking the time to feedback. Glad you enjoyed breakfast and the 'Devonshire House' experience in general. Sorry you found the room a little noisy, as we discussed prior to booking we are situated on a main road and when home is in the quietest of locations, a city location will give a different sleep experience, even...

The owner was really nice and helpful. The room were comfortable. The breakfast was pretty well. It takes you 20 minutes to go to the city centre on foot. There are some place to have a drink or have dinner near the house: there is a pub in front of the house and another one in 5-10 minutes on foot...

Couldn't have wish for better. My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. Arrived at 12.30, we were going to walk into town, leaving the car parked on the roadside for free, coming back at 5pm to book in. Decided to knock, on the off chance of being able to get in early. We were then warmly welcomed by Louise....
