We had a lovely few days in Bath and this hotel was part of it and not just somewhere to stay. The room/suite containing original antiques was lovely. This is a bit picky but room facilities could be improved at minimal cost including personal space by the bed and remove the huge cushions (why do some hotels have loads of...

Fantastic location- actually stunning location in the middle of the Crescent. Our room with twin beds was roomy enough, and decorated with beautiful pale aqua wool tweeds and plaids- very soothing palate. Our room overlooked the back garden toward the spa & dining room. We enjoyed the indoor pool, with spa, steam & sauna. We walked to dinners just a...

From its discreet entrance from the Royal Crescent, you step into a cocoon of understated luxury. With all the charm of its Georgian roots and original mahogany furniture and paintings brought up to date with modern soft furnishing and lighting. We were very fortunate to have a suite with a conservatory sitting room overlooking the garden, facing south west, very...

What a wonderful hotel with fantastic attentive staff. The hotel is stunning, stayed in the Elizabeth dowager room for two nights. Truly beautiful and spacious. The food in the bar was magnificent as were the cocktails. The staff were very friend and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. The afternoon was an amazing experience and very well priced with lots...

This trule was a wedding anniversary to remember. Stunning rooms in a stunning building, and the best staff I have ever experienced - nothing is too much trouble for them. Jean-Marc, the Sommelier, is a joy to talk to and passionate about his job. He checks what you want to spend and then advises you on the best wine, brandy...

We usually stay at Chewton Glen in the New Forest but fancied trying something different and the Royal Crescent looked perfect. We were not disappointed. A marvellous welcome, beautiful room, excellent food...all you could want from a hotel. Will definitely be back...

My husband booked four nights for us here with my son and his partner to celebrate my 70th birthday. I can only write in superlatives. From the moment we arrived to our departure we were given a hospitality which is rare these days. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, gracious, smartly...

The Gainsborough was booked so we stayed here. Overall, our room was tiny and the spa was so small it wasn't comfortable to use. Imagine 6 people squeezed into a tiny sauna like sausages. We booked this hotel because we wanted one with a spa, but wouldn't have booked it had we have known it was not a proper spa....

Thank you for your review. We are a very different hotel from the Gainsborough and our facilities and rooms are governed by the nature of this beautiful Grade 1 listed building. Our spa is a very special place and gets wonderful comments. We regret you found it too small for your liking and that you found your room too small....

Staying in such a location that's a tourist site in itself, one would have their expectations high. And they are not let down by the hotel. From valet parking to checking-in to service the staff are great, that 5 star friendly but not intrusive attitude that's always a win. The room was a classic, but I was pleasantly surprised with...

A few days before my sister and I were due to fly to an unknown destination, she finally told me that we were going to Bath, [a place, neither of us had visited previously] via Bristol airport, but wouldn't inform me the name of the hotel, as she wanted to at least still keep that information a secret. The first attraction,...
